Horus X12S with EdgeTX and Touch Screen!
Kevin Fairgrieve replied to Kevin Fairgrieve's topic in FrSky
Parts required, bear in mind I am UK based and your source may be different. Touch Screen Adaptor Board You will also need some quality wire for the connections. Instructions these may appear in German, I just use google translate. Firmware at time of writing make sure to select EN for English The whole process took me less than 2 hours including dismantling and re assembly. Weather permitting I will try to test fly this weekend! -
Horus X12S with EdgeTX and Touch Screen!
Kevin Fairgrieve replied to Kevin Fairgrieve's topic in FrSky
I love all my touch screen radio`s, although it has never happened to me, maybe I am lucky. There is a request in to the devs for a "SCREEN LOCK" feature. -
A simple mod for any one with a reasonable amount of electronics experience. If only the X12S had had this from the start, now I wonder if the ETHOS devs would port ETHOS to the X12S with touch screen. Information from here. https://wimalopaan.github.io/Electronics/rc/touch.html All you need is these and a few lengths of wire, and the custom firmware.

I do believe they both came from ne..1 land?

Thinned down. Depending on the amount of muck to clean off somewhere between 60 and 90 percent. Somewhere I have written down the mix, but for some reason it is not with the bottle where it normally is.
-
And of course not forgetting these. Yep Irvine did a range of Diesel engine`s.
-
Do you mean the LA`s? It is just a degreaser, but who knows what is in it! All I know is it works for me. Showing in stock for me. The ultrasonic cleaner I use will only accommodate one engine at a time, but then I only work on one at a time.
-
I use the ultrasonic bath. For my cleaning fluid I use this. Awesome Cleaner Brings them up like new. I got my inspiration from this guy. Sadly he no longer does rebuilds, but there is a wealth of information in his video`s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFYfcV1Fsxk&t=60s

BIG team changes made!! Poor predictions also done. I have done them early as I am off flying soon. If I am back before quali starts I can tweak a little (lot). -
Have you tried this one Ron? P-51 Exhaust Stack.
-
I have had neither yet.?
-
And there is also the "I made that" factor. I do not have the skills to draw them, so am grateful for those who can and make them public.

Why re invent the wheel? For those who are members over at RCSCALEBUILDER.COM you can download an already made STL. Just sayin.? https://www.rcscalebuilder.com/3d_download.asp

Unisens E Telemetry Sensor
Kevin Fairgrieve replied to Broken Prop's topic in Gadgets and Electronics
Had two from SM-Modelbau in the last 6 months. Just ordered and they delivered. Took around 10 days or so each time. Great bits of kit. -

No change for me then, always score low.? -
I make my own! Sometimes use the original as a pattern or oil the part and press on the paper. Cut round the markings. Gasket paper.

More an assembly area than a workshop these days. The building "mojo" has sadly lost its appeal of late.

I am in, ready to prop up the bottom again. ? But for now I am on top. -
I really like mine, it is what the X12S should have been. LUA adds a whole new dimension to the TX. I also thought I would not need it, as I used them seldom if ever on my X12S but I am converted. A big shout out to those who can code them so that us mere mortals can enjoy them. Setting them up is a breeze and not at all complicated. Many of them also work on the X12 and X10 with the ISRM upgrade or the Express model of the X10. Please someone develop one for the SMModelbau Unisens-E If you go down the route of the Tandem receiver, you will also need to update the RF firmware to the latest 2.2.0 as this adds support for TDR18. The Tandem RX will also need a firmware update. OTA updates are simple once the RX is Registered and bound. Like my other FrSky TX I keep a copy of the latest files on the SD card to make things simple. Always test your settings after an update. I have found no issue`s with the process.

Thought I had something else buried in a folder somewhere!!! This PDF should help. Switching between OpenTX and ETHOS.pdf

It is currently 997 pages, mainly geared towards the X20 but this is possibly the best resource for ETHOS. ETHOS
