Doug Ireland
Not even September and the October mag just landed on my hall carpet!

Bill_B
What a ridiculous situation! I guess it'd be too logical to have October's issue coming out in the first week of October etc?
Ben B
Yes. mine arrived too. You won't find me complaining about the month on the cover, the fact that it arrived this morning has made my Saturday
Danny Fenton
mine arrived this morning too, I think they should always arrive on Saturday morning, cup of tea and toast and a good read Cheers Danny

Kevin Fairgrieve
Agree with everyone. Who cares when it arrives as long as it does. Kev
Concorde Speedbird
Well I have gone through it, Danny Fenton's article was excellent as usual. Some of the models at Cosford were massive, even bigger than my Falcon! The usual reviews of ARTF's were alright but that Comet stole the show, wow! David Ashby - Moderator
Danny - Tony B's thread here refers. Yes, this issue is a touch early but we make 13 issues a year so the next mag will be the Special Issue that fits between Oct and Nov. Concorde Speedbird
Great to see the funny Sopwith Camel quote from the 'If your partner was a plane' thread, burst out laughing when I first saw it on the thread! You should put a funny quote from the forum in the mag every month! That Comet is beautiful, my second best looking passenger aircraft ever (you know what's first!) and a superb model. Greybeard
So where is my DIGITAL issue Mr Ashby?
Mark Powell 2
CS, Personally I think Steve Rickett and his father are the best model designers/builders in the UK, if not the world. Steve is an airline pilot. I believe his father was too, before he retired. You like the Comet? Google 'rc twin pulse jet' for a nice parkflyer! Concorde Speedbird
Wow, that is great! Also, great to see Cambrian models in the mag trading! I have to have myself a Funfighter at some point! CS
Ian Rayne
And we here in SA will only see it in October, that's why I subscribe to the digital format

Prop Nut
I was interested to read (Short Finals) that Dave Johnson, Chairman of the LMA, is angered by visitors trying to get into shows without paying. Well, it cuts both ways, Dave! I was pretty angered a few years ago when, having bought advance tickets for the Cosford show, the idiot on the gate decided that they were only valid for Saturday, that I couldn't use them on Sunday and I'd have to pay again. He was rude and offensive, and unapologetic even when, after some considerable delay, someone straightened him out and I was allowed to pass. I've never patronised the LMA since. Simon Chambers
Excellent edition - as always. Great show was the LMA. It's my current favourite out of the calendar. That Pits Python was huge! I managed to get a up close look at it and take a quick sneaky snap with my camera phone. Certainly not magazine quality, but you can see the person sitting next to it and the jerry cans for size comparison. Just to point out, I'm around 5' 10" and the wing was above/level with my head. Also I noticed it uses Hitec servos - not complete Futaba gear as the magazine says. Click on it to see a bigger version. Cheers, Si. Jon Laughton
Perhaps it's just me but I thought this was the poorest edition for some time. Still way better than the competition though
Tim Hooper
Matt's Saab looks great! I just have to cross it off my 'to do' list though.... tim

I just have to cross it off my 'to do' list though.... tim I agree. Its really tempting me to give this wood bashing a go! I've put it on the list on the RCME plans that I really want to build - Mini Capiche, Bristol Freighter (with 2 OS LA15's of course), Flying Flea and of course the TN Lancaster from the November 2001 issue! I better start soon...! Si.
