riverlandgirl.
This is my latest silly little thing. 28" span, 23oz with an AP 09 on top. Had a couple of flights, very twitchy, as you might expect! should be good once all fine tunned, (I hope!)

Simon Chaddock
Er....Interesting! "Thrust line through the centre of drag" Walrus? Reminds me more of the Dornier DoX! Bet there is a bit of trim change power off! Cant wait to see a video!
riverlandgirl.
Thanks for the kind coments. BEB, "yellow walrus" it is! Acutualy walrus's used to fly off Auckland harbour, before my time of course! I confess I haven't been game to fly it off the water yet, will do once every thing is right. (got my oldest, crappiest radio in it) . Simon, Thrust line... centre of drag.... hell I only put the engine there so it was out of the way! (Falls out of the sky with the power off...) Videos are a bit of a mission for me... we'll see...

Stephen Jones
That is very nice indeed . Try a little up thrust . You make some lovely looking models .
riverlandgirl.
Thanks all. Weather lovely here at the moment, so should get a good few flights in! Stephen, hard to see in the photo, but has about 5 degrees up thrust. Maybe needs more? Turns it's self end over end if I open the throttle up when sitting on the grass!! John Olsen 1
Yes, it has been lovely in Auckland the last couple of days hasn't it? I managed to get in a flying session yesterday and today, actually yesterday it was calm enough to fly an indoor model in the park next door. riverlandgirl.
gorgeous weather, but the cows are back on the paddock.... grrr......
John Olsen 1
I thought they had fixed that...have they been in again?
riverlandgirl.
I "borrow" the next door farmers padock, I guess I must grugdingly concede he has the right to put his own cows in his own paddock! Sadly I decked the poor little thing tonight, got too far away in the falling dark and lost orientation. 28" gets small real quick! Minnor damage, one broken wing . Nevermind. Peter Miller
We used to fly on such a paddock, just after the cows had gone in for milking. You do not want to hit one of the "land mines" at speed and under power with a glow motor. Trust me on this!
riverlandgirl.
.....yes, it's amazing how the plane always seem to find them..... and just how much can get packed down the carby!
