GrahamC
I'm sure there will be comments about this year's NATS on many threads, but did you come home with any bargains? Show us what you got! Here are mine, both from the swapmeet.... A Flair Puppeteer II built to a very high standard indeed but uncovered. The quality of the build really is outstanding, and everything except the undercarriage wire is there. So finishing this will be a good winter project. Now to decide, electric or Ic? And, a Nigel Hawes Tucano, something I had been thinking about building. for a while. Hopefully a good chuck in the car and fly hack for the winter when I don't want to be putting planes together! It should go like the clapers with the right motor. So what did you find?
NigelH
That Flair's a beauty but he's not glued the vertical stab and rudder where they need to be
Concorde Speedbird
Nothing, I wasn't there! Hope everyone had a nice time! I would go for a 40-60 four stroke on that Puppeteer (nice sound!), or a two stroke. Looks like you got some good buys, that Tucano is lovely as well! Chris Bott - Moderator
I came away with quite a few small bags: Tools (sanding blocks, dremmel bits, 20" ruler). Bits and bobs for models (ball joints, torque rods, nuts n bolts). A well priced receiver. Some sunburn. Aching legs. And loads of happy memories, particularly of the evenings... That Puppeteer needs a four stroke, it's a real sound! Well in my opinion, I do have FSA disorder (four stroke addiction!) Paul you must drive a lorry! Paul Marsh
There was a ASP 180FS brand new in box going for £120. A bargain, really as they are over £250 new. This was brand new. Didn't buy it, as I wanted the cash for something else, but was sold when I checked later on. Who bought that engine? Anyone here?

Paul Marsh
Took the caravan and the car's a Vectra Estate. As I wasn't flying (apart from the hanger) the car/caravan was empty, unusually. A bit more fuller on the way back... Bought loads of smaller items, as well. Servos and a set of Eflight twist n' turn retracts. Bought around 50 servos this weekend - as I seem to have run out!
