Robin Kearney
I'm not sure if many are following the coverage from Nuremberg but I just noticed Ripmax announced an artf wots wot. Might be my first bipe I think! Edited By Pete B - Moderator on 30/01/2014 09:08:
Concorde Speedbird
I'm not surprised they've done it, quite different to the kit one. I prefer look of the kit one, the wings with just sweepback at the front on the artf is not to my taste, I like a full swept back top wing and straight bottom wing. The fuselage (canopy and tail below the fin) is also different. I would imagine this will be very popular. CS
Paul Marsh
Oooh, a Wots Wot! Want one. I have two built from a kit, one with a SC 80 four stroke in it and the other with a Sc 61 two stroke. I built the wings on mine, with just the straight chord. Also put the picture here, much better than a link... Robin Kearney
Thanks Paul, the link is horrible and takes you to the mobile site, I also notice I spelt the name wrong in the title. Any mods about please feel free to fix that up so it'll at least be found in searches. Are there ailerons on both wings, or just the top? Me and computers are not having a good day! r. Robin Kearney
Ah yes, I see now from the pic you posted, I'd not seen that one. Looks very snug in the back of that wagon doesn't it!
Dave Bran
Now, even I may end up with one, and I'm no fan of the "WOT" dynasty.....................
Stephen Grigg
Lovely I loved my Acro Wot so did someone else, they nicked it.
David Ashby - Moderator
Almost inevitable but it's good to see none the less. It'll be interesting to see whether Chris tweaked the design as he did with the Acrowot.
Dave Miller
If it is as heavy as the Ripmax Acro Wot then it should be quite a woofer.
ken anderson.
I had one of the originals with a 91/4st in it.........it was a really good model.......and would do anything you wanted..if that has gone over to the ARTF one......... I would recommend it....hope that the top wing mounting/retaining has been sorted/altered-that was the only thing that I didn't like...... ken Anderson ne..1 ...Wot dept. Phil 9
I wonder if larger versions of this and the acro wot are in the pipe line as they did for the wot 4. I would defiantly be interested in a big one
..
Me too Phil. I wonder what the price is going to be seeing as it's a Bipe? With the Acro Wot @ £125 ish I would think around the £150 mark?
Bob Cotsford
If I could find a room to store it I'd quite happily pay that for one
Robin Kearney
Bob sounds like you are in the same position as me, £150 for the plane sounds like a bargain. £50k for the extension I'd need to provide sufficient room to grow the fleet makes it less likely. r. Shaun Marshall
ive rung ripmax and they say available may time rrp £
Bob Cotsford
I fear I may have to sacrifice a few airframes to the great god Ebay, the H9 Katana and Harvard aren't earning their keep, maybe the AstroHog too. £159 rrp, no doubt they will be available for less. Paul Marsh
I've ran out of space, too. Thinking of extending the old shed by getting rid of it and replacing it with a bigger one, hopefully before the spending season kicks off - the summer shows. That said, I'll be getting one soon as it comes out. Does anyone know when that is? Reckon a 90 four stroke should be ideal.
Mark a
looks like one to add to the fleet, have a brand new SC.61 to drop in it.
Bob Cotsford
I as thinking maybe an MVVS 90 would be fun as I've got a spare one kicking about
ben goodfellow 1
i had one with a super tigre 90 in . magic plane.ive thought a lot a bout getting another recently but its not cheap to build and cover one these days . so a decently priced artf will be good.........fly low
