the model mania tv series was shown this morning on Discovery SHED

on one episode Roy Lever described his parachute rescue system but refused to name his secret parachute material

More out of curiosity than anything but does anybody know the details of his system

Yes I've seen that one - I'm still intrigued. I've experimented with this when I used to fly model rockets a few years back, always found nylon to be the best. I think the late Mr Lever used some mylar crimply stuff...

There must be some one out there who knows. Lest ask Kevin from "Blues Clues"...

.

I had a large Cub from a member up that way and all was left in the plane was the two holes where the wood dowels were.

Wasn't named Steve was he?????

Just couldn't, just couldn't resist. Private joke between me and someone on here, oh that's made my Christmas that has face 16face 16face 16

Sorry to wander off topic, he will kill me when he see's this.

I did see a couple of Roy's impromptu magic displays (he was a Magic Circle member) and it was quite bemusing watching him appear to make something disappear. He did once attempt the same trick with something much larger, but the less said about that the better.........

...but there was a lot of the magic smoke. wink 2

I now own the transmitter used on that model but it is a bit of a state.
It is a Powermax Merlin PCM Guidance System.
