Denis Watkins
Hobbystores was a franchise, and stores with 2 customers per week could not sustain the huge investments in stock, wages and rent. A small shop in the town costs approx £1000 per week rent, £500 per week staff, and £100,000 stock is not unusual. We go in with our mate and buy two wheels and an aileron horn on Saturday, and scratch our chin wondering why they are closed down, the following week. 99% of our needs arrive at the door via the interweb, and we are responsible

stu knowles
So Hobbystores, fronting for Ripmax, bought out Giant Cod and killed it off? I suspected as much but hadn't realised that Hs was a retail front for Ripmax
Jeff Mills
I think you will find it was My Hobby store that bought out Giant Shark.
Adrian Smith 1
If ever this thread is an object lesson in checking one's facts before committing them to the ether. You never know how much collateral damage is being caused by a word out of place!
