Dom (Essential RC)
After a first trimming flight and realising I needed to adjust the rudder I gave the new Avios Super Tucano a proper aerobatic flight. Let the flight do the talking.
Dom (Essential RC)
Tyler Perry's 1st flight of Ramy RC's Giant 149KG XXL C-17 Globemaster at Airliner Meeting 2024. Tyler flies in less than ideal conditions on the first day (i.e. Friday) of the Airliner Meeting Show. There was a 15mph cross wind but that didn't stop him from getting this big quad EDF powered jet into the air. This unique EDF jet was constructed by Ramy RC in Atlanta, United States and shipped to Oppingen, Germany just for this event. It weights 149KG and is powered by 4 200mm EDFs running on 14S. The maximum pack capacity used per EDF is 17000mah. Wingspan is 6.4 meters (21 ft), length is 6.35 meters (20.9 ft).

Dom (Essential RC)
Scratch built Beechcraft Model 18 powered by twin Saito 90 3 cylinder radial engines by Bernd at Airliner Meeting 2024. Doesn't get any better than this. Very well flown.
Dom (Essential RC)
Top weekend at Old Warden Aerodrome ModelAir event supporting Stuart and Andreis from HobbyKing. Flew several times with 12 year old Finn attempting to do some half decent formation flying with the new Avios Super Tucano that's coming out in August. Dom (Essential RC)
Has been a long time since I filmed at a Large Model Association Show so I drove 4 hours up to Elvington for their penultimate show of the season. Well worth it. Some superb flying over the 2 days I was there starting with this F-14 Tomcat flown by Steve Kilbon.
Cuban8
Very impressive - a few more models like that and I might be tempted to revisit model airshows again.....just curious, but the oscillation of the tailerons both when on the deck and during the take of roll during the slow mo sequences is very noticeable - just part of the control systems MO, presumably? Ron Gray
The constant moving control surface reminds me of the good old ‘Galloping Ghost’ rc systems!

It's a characteristic of some digital servos when there is no load on the control surface. They are constantly trying to centre. It disappears with airflow applying load when it starts to move. It's not a problem but can be stopped by adding a small bit of fluffy sticky back velcro to the side of the fuselage so the control surface has a bit of resistance. It's what I've done on a 35% Extra because with 4 servos doing it it can be an annoying noise. Dom (Essential RC)
Strictly speaking, it's a boat, but since it flies above the water and is EDF powered and was displayed at Popham Model Show I had to share it here for those who might be interested. So innovative !
Dom (Essential RC)
First flight with the Arrows Sky Cruiser 1400. Easy to assemble, easy to fly and looks good in the air with its high viz scheme...

Yeah...that was Insta360 Go2 which has now been superseded by the Go3, which I also have but don't have a superlight mount for it yet. Dom (Essential RC)
Head tracked FPV just got easier with the new FPV Goggles L and GM series gimbals from Caddx. Previously it has required a separate head tracking unit fixed to the side of the FPV goggles and plugged into the radio transmitter trainer port to send the head movements to the receiver which sent the signals to a pan servo and a tilt servo in a 3D printed gimbal holding the FPV camera in the cockpit.
