tigerman
I have been flying a electric model on my DX6 but the aerial on the receiver broke off ( second one to do this on the Spektrum 610 receiver ) I had a spare Futaba 617 receiver so decided to swoop the receiver over and put the model on Futaba radio ( yes I did change over the transmitter to a Futaba transmitter.)The model is fine with aileron,,elevator and rudder but I can not get the throttle to work , the esc just keeps bleeping at me It is me because it all work fine on my DX and there something I am not doing right .I have even tried deleting the model from the Futaba transmitter and binding it again but the throttle just bleeps .Help!!! Frank Skilbeck
On Futaba the throttle signal is reversed, (compared to Spektrum, Multiplex etc etc) so if you have not reversed the throttle channel with the stick back it is at full throttle and so the ESC is going into programming mode. You need to reverse the throttle channel and it all should work OK.
Frank Skilbeck
Don't forget to reset the failsafe!
Martin Harris - Moderator
Futaba throttle works in the opposite direction - change its direction, retrain the throttle and all should be well... Edit: These answers are like buses - they arrive 3 4 at a time! Edited By Martin Harris on 08/11/2017 17:58:
Dwain Dibley.
It could be seeing open throttle. Pull the Throttle trim back until it arms. Failing that try reversing throttle in the tx. Take the prop off first to be safe. D.D.
gangster
Yes Futaba defo reversed compared with spekky. Reverse on the transmitter. You will also need to calibrate the esc following makers instruction. If you have no instructions no probs. Ask back on here and several people will be able how to do it

trebor
Watch out for the expo
Martin Harris - Moderator
Good point - in case you aren't aware, to increase expo in the normal direction (softer around the centre) you need negative values as opposed to the positive ones you may be used to.
