Hayden Brown
I was told Solartex is no longer manufactured. Might be old news but new to me. Is there an equivalent surface finish in another product? Hayden
kevin b
There are still a few odd colours available on the website. In different lengths.
Frank Skilbeck
Oratex do a natural colour and Diacov (from Sarik Hobbies) only comes in natural. Not sure how close a colour match either would be to Solartex Natural.
John Lee
5 & 10 meter 'seconds' are still available direct from the factory. Link

Andy Stephenson
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Oratex, Oracover's version of Solartex.
Martin Harris - Moderator
Apart from Frank? How about a return to doped fabric? Very scale - and a wonderful aroma as well! It might be worth experimenting with dyed fabric if you want that "antique" colour - I wonder if you could use something like tea for example? Bob Cotsford
Yes, tea and coffee were popular as dyes back when doped nylon was the only choice. Just be careful you don't end up with a tie dyed finish!
