tigerman Posted December 1, 2020 Share Posted December 1, 2020 Am I the only one but tried to renew my BMFA membership and CAA reg on the BMFA web site today but gave up. When I go in to the cart there is nothing in the cart .Tried several times but gave up in the end .Anyone else having the same trouble. Try to ring the BMFA ,just had an answear phone on . Nigel R Posted December 1, 2020 Share Posted December 1, 2020 no - working for me, I did: login, go to membership page, clicked the big green 'renew' button next page appeared, I clicked orange 'finish' button, then 'go to cart' cart appeared with "total items... 1" and the correct monetary value showing. I get a screen with a red "Log in" bar and a white "Sign up " bar, neither of which do anything. Emailed BMFA admin so they can (hopefully) get their techies to sort it. Its a logic issue related to different expiry dates that has now been identified and I understand the support team are very close to implementing the solution. Charles Scott-Knox-Gore Posted December 2, 2020 Share Posted December 2, 2020 I tried just now and when I went to the "cart" there was a message showing my details but saying " these items does not "(sic) "meet the purchasing rule criteria ". My CAA registration runs until July next year, so I suspect this is why, and I shall try just renewing the BMFA membership, but I wonder if anyone will remind me to renew the CAA registration in the summer. My problem was that the Gender entry in my profile was empty (didn't initially have asterisk though). Once I filled the Gender tab in, the asterisk appeared and all was then ok. I have received 3 emails with receipt, BMFA certificate and CAA exemptions, but (as I half expected) no new CAA Operator number. Will BMFA be sending data across to CAA in batches similar to last year to allow them to issue the new Operator ID? If so, what are the planned dates?
