martin collins 1
I`m converting/refurbing a plan built Brooks Biplane, i need to replace a couple of rigging wire ends and this is what was fitted, can anyone identify what they would normally be used for? I was thing dress making or fishing perhaps?
Nigel R
Do you have all of the original hooks? I'd be temped to re-use the hooks. Take a length of brass tubing and some fishing trace, chop the tube into short length (1/2") and crimp up new wires on the old hooks. J D 8
DB sport and scale have rigging gear on their web site, including little lockable hooks. I have some on my Bleriot which is handy because it is working rigging. They can just about be seen holding rigging wire loop terminals at lower UC Edited July 5, 2021 by J D 8 extra info

Gunnar Borseth
Hello, Martin. Your rigging hook looks a lot like a «fast snap» used in fly fishing.
