Andy C
Whilst carrying out some work on my limbo dancer earlier trying to fit everything in teh tiny space available I managed to pull teh smaller areiel away from my AR610 receiver. Any thoughts on what my options are please? Is this diy repairable? I assume best option is replace with a new one and since 4ch will do I may as well get a new aerial-less AR410 for just £25. GrumpyGnome
Pry the case open and resolder it....... be very quick so the heat transfer to the board is minimised. Did it on a few of mine...... Remember to do a thorough range check.
Martin McIntosh
Use a piece of servo wire to replace it, 26mm long. Reconnecting the old one will result in it being too short. 26mm needs to be the final length ideally, so fit the wire then trim it if needed. EvoStick round the exit will prevent a further fracture. FlyinBrian
I slide a piece of heat shrink over the rx aerial exit to give some strain relief, I usually use red heat shrink as I have heard that black sleeving contains carbon which can cause issues through partial shielding of the RF signal
Trevor Crook
I do the same with clear heatshrink, Brian. I have a couple of the antennaless AR410s, they are excellent. Much easier to bind withe a button, too.
David H
If you don't want to attempt the repair yourself, Andy C, a repair service is offered by Al's Hobbies. My Rx had the same problem and was fixed at a cost of £15 including return shipping. Contact is Garry Brace at [email protected]. Or phone them 01908 313142 to check cost. Gary Manuel
@Andy C Have you noticed that the other aerial in your photo looks cracked too? Just where it leaves the receiver. May just be a trick of the light but worth checking if you decide to repair the broken aerial.

However, all 3 achieved the 30 metre low power range recommended by Spektrum.
