'The performance of lithium-ion batteries is heavily dependent on the 3D microstructures of electrodes. Understanding the transport of lithium ions in the electrolyte and the (de)-lithiation process of the active material is the key to developing the next generation of batteries.

The webinar presents the workflow developed to simulate the electrochemical performances of an electrode at its microstructure level and at different discharge C-rates. The input geometry of the electrode is generated from a 3D scan or from a stochastically generated microstructure. This enables performance limitations to be identified and overcome, to fulfill the demands of next-generation batteries. The results of this workflow will be compared to those of the P2D method developed by Doyle et al.'

A bit over my head I think.
