Edgeflyer
Marketed as longer range than 2.4ghz but what are the downsides?
PeterF
I hope it is legal as my Jeti Tx and Rxs included a 900MHz back up frequency to the normal 2.4GHz. You have to be careful if buying overseas kit because it is nominally 900MHz and the specific frequency in the UK and EU is different to the US and other countries. PeterF
Just checked the Jeti specs. Frequency EU: 863 - 870MHz US: 902 - 928 MHz AU: 918 - 926 MHz
John Lee
The BMFA Handbook is my first port of call for any queries of this nature. https://handbook.bmfa.uk/home-startup/contents And the Answer is: 7.8 The 900 MHz Band This is a Short Range Device (SRD) band and is license free provided the e.r.p. does not exceed 25 mW and the transmission uses Adaptive Frequency Agility (AFA – frequency hopping) and in the EU is Listen Before Talk (LBT). The frequency spread is 868.0 MHz to 873.0 MHz but there are some specific users in the upper part of the band, particularly above 870.0 MHz. 500 mW e.r.p. is permitted from 869.4 to 869.65 MHz, but must be AFA and LBT.

Vodafone used a large part of this, as well as other cell phones, modems and communications equipment. 2.4ghz is safe enough.
Philip Lewis 3
Been using 868 MHZ as a back up to 2.4 for a few years now, switch over is instantaneous and great peace of mind with expensive models, 868 MHZ has enourmous range, near a KM in range check!
