Geoff S
What with the both the pandemic and a general malaise I haven't flown any of my indoor models for a few years. I've been checking them out (mostly V911 helicopters and a WLToys indoor quad) and all the batteries have died. They take a charge and end up at or near 4.2v but I'm guessing the IR has increased to such an extent that they're incapable of delivering enough current to power the models. I'm amazed how prices and availability have soared. I used to get batteries from Banggood (Mainly because I knew they had the correct connector - one bigger than the one used on (say) a Vapor) but postage times are so long it'll nearly be summer before they arrive! Where are the best sources?
Zflyer
Have you tried Gliders in Newark. They have a limited number of 1s lipo

Geoff S
Thanks. However, with all the current hassle (known as Christmas!) I'll leave it to the new Year. I think Gliders is probably my nearest model shop - right across the other side of Notts (30+ miles). The 'net is wonderful but I miss being able to cycle to one of several shops within a relatively short ride. I have ridden to Newark (and beyond) but it's too far me these days. GrumpyGnome
Electric Wingman, Robotbirds, Als hobbies all have 1S (or have in the last few months) but beware of shipping costs.......
Denis Watkins
Geoff, double check your batteries at 4.2v in an indoor flight, as All of my 1S fly at that as the auto charger stops at 4.2v And I fly at least 10 minutes. I do agree though that 1S are a toss of a coin on longevity and some last just one season
Trevor
If you find a source of batteries for the WLToys 911 please do share it. Or if anyone knows what the connector on these batteries is called, it might make it easier to search for them. TIA Trevor
