Fly Boy 3
Here is my set up. £20 the lot, I assumed motor or esc had gone but no. Only batteries required. Very pleased indeed.

Looking good especially at that price. If you need a cowl you can get them on eBay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155687684291

Fly Boy 3
Thanks Shaun, I am ok for cowl, but nice to know spares are available. Must have been a popular model in its time. Put a bit of expo. and reduced rates. Waiting for weather. Cheers all my forum friends.

Fly Boy 3
Hi Paul, bought model second hand with everything intact, including prop, cowl and spinner. Prop is 10.75x8. Confirmed by spec. of model. Cheers

After. 36 years with ic and Futaba, I assumed the Rx needed a supply. The supply I was using was from the esc . Therefore there was no throttle signal going to the esc. I am so sorry. On the bright side I have learned a lot in a short time from the great knowledge of you leccy men. Thank you very much. Could be an age thing, 86 next month and still learning and flying. Cheers So.....the RX was drawing power from the ESC's BEC (hence control surfaces working ok) but plugged into the RX battery port rather than the RX's throttle channel?
