Michael Hickman
Hi Doug Just downloaded from the site and used the OV2 creater program, 130 sites. I use a TomTom One (it's at home so unable to test on the actual device), I do not know of any differences. The program I used to create the OV2 is called POIedit 2007, available from here. Doug Ireland
Hi Mike, I didn't use the .csv file, just put the ov2 that was on your site it in the POI directory and ran it. I've seen the "create" program you mentioned but I'm not sure how to use it. Cheers, Doug.
Michael Hickman
Hi Doug I found it fairly simple to use, I do not use all the features, it can also display the locations on a map. I simply use the POIedit2007 as a method of "file save as". I copied an original OV2 file from the TomTom, used POIedit2007 to save as a CSV, then opened that in Excel. Using that structure (two identical info fields [could be short name + greater detail but which were the same on the sample I had?], longditude & latitude) I used the data I had stored to prepare a similar structure which I then copied into a new CSV, then used POIedit2007 to save as the OV2. It sounds a lot worse than it really is! In my previous post, I perhaps should have explained better, I downloaded the OV2 the same as you, and was able to see all records. Doug Ireland
Thanks Mike, the ov2 file did load properly. It was finger-trouble on my part!
Michael Hickman
Hi Doug I'm pleased it's worked. I knew it worked for me, but now I know it also works for others and on an XL. Mike

Michael Hickman
Hi Dave Happy to add Green Air Design, but although I did find a web site I have not been able to find an address. Perhaps they do not want the public to know where they are? If you do find a post code or co-ordinates (lat & long), please let me know and I will add them. Erfolg
The project seems to be getting there! Congratulations Pity it cannot be part of this site, but I guess there are some commercial and IP issues. Erfolg

Michael Hickman
Hi Ken I've e mailed Concept and they would prefer NOT to release their address as they operate an appointment only policy. However they are grateful to be added to the main map only, I have therefore used just the first half of the post code. Mike

Michael Hickman
Hi Allan Why do programs that all claim at least some standardisation work differently. I have changed one "back slash" to a "forward slash", it now works for me in both IE & Firefox 3.0.1. Please confirm OK for you too now. Michael Hickman
Hi All Just found how easy it had been to make the map icons clickable, I'd been trying for several weeks but as it failed to work on the local site I didn't upload to the server. However it now appears that it only works from a server. If you now click on an icon with a web site (most do), the browser should open a new tab into the web site. Please let me know what you think, positive or negative feedback appreciated. Mike

Michael Hickman
Craig, Phils Models were already on the map, but very close to another shop. I have therefore changed the icons for both shops to aid visibility. Mike
