kc
Only just seen this. I am surprised nobody else has pointed out that the old Solartrim instructions gave measurements and even compass construction details so you can cut any insignia yourself. Details of the Maltese Cross are there with measurements for radius that can be scaled to any size. It's online here. Cut the crosses yourself from film or the vinyl self adhesive stuff if you cannot get Solartrim. If you have not seen the Solarfilm video then it's here online or maybe the DVD is available still - says it's £2.99 and worth every penny to have as future reference.
Halsey
Hi, Many thanks and good info for the future. In this instance Pyramid models came to my aid with an excellent set of matt black self adhesive "decals" designed for the "Maggie" J
J D 8 - Moderator
Velcro is what holds Dennis in my Bleriot XI.
Halsey
I have decided to give HD Velcro a try with Albert - I've also cut him down a bit to reduce wind resistance.. I note Denis has a "cockpit" of sorts whereas Albert sits on the wing albeit behind the dash cowling - I might give Albert a small "back rest" after all he is pretty old now! This pic is still a work in progress Edited September 14 by Halsey
J D 8 - Moderator
I am the third owner of the 1970's built Bleriot and as far as I know Dennis has not ever departed his office with out permission.😁
Chris Walby
Snoopy is located by a screw at the front where he locates and then sits on Velcro (don't tighten the screw, but just sits in a slot and rotates back against the Velcro). Not my design, but works as the faster he goes the more he sits on the Velcro.
Halsey
Sounds good - it would be good to see a bit more detail if you can manage it?

Engine Doctor
Extra strong velcro pads are available at little cost and ideal for this. Designed for holdind car mats in place they are sttonger than nornal velcro. Have look on Ali Express or Ebay. Of course you could also use magnets as some very strong magnets available . Rapid RC has loads in stock.
Halsey
HD Velcro is what I'm using - you used to be able to buy it in 10m rolls which I did app 10 years ago if not more - lasts forever!
Philip Lewis 3
If you want something that works like velcro but has a much stronger grip try 3M Dual Lock, also has the advantage that both sides are the same.
