Picked up this oldy but goody MPX Dog fighter at Weston Park last weekend.

Wasn't to bad. I was able to support it by gripping the fuse then raising power to take off level and away it went. I also launched it side arm and that worked well too.

TJIRC Mini Q just in. Maidened today, it flew great 😃

Lovely morning at the field today. Managed to maiden my 3d printed EDF seagull as well as my new TJIRC Mini Q. The Xfly twin Nova got a run out as did my Rochobby MSX and Great planes Kunai now on 4s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mfWoolpZLI

An archer buddy quickly scanned my head with his iPhone one evening I roughly put it on a bust and 3d printed it , then put myself in my PZ Mosquito also .

Current hobbies: archery(with my two girls) originally recurve target but these days traditional longbow. Past hobbies windsurfing, dinghy sailing with daughter#2 who is now a cadet navigation officer with MSC. Power kiting, land surfing. Amateur radio, started on CB but got my A ticket to communicate with my brother who was sailing round the world. We used packet radio as mentioned above(pk232 with a BBC micro.) Astronomy, had a Celestron Omni 150, but sold it as it was quite heavy to lug out to the garden. Motor cycling though that stopped when the girls arrived 23 years ago. Still got the Honda CB750F2.

I prefer the epo ones as they are a lot lighter especially when the foam ones soak up a lot of water. Maybe work on your landings?

If you had a tube of UHU POR at the field a quick bead run along the hinge line would've got you up in the air again in little time. Hinges will be a proper job though.

Great morning's flying today. Wind picked up as forecast but wasn't too bad. Most of these ladies got an airing. Managed to maiden the Rare Bear that I was gifted by a flying buddy, flew great on 4s and 9x9 prop.
