I was banned on fb by the meta Ai, I posted a screen image of the scam that got me, and it banned me for publishing publicity, still looking up it does give me more time for my modelling.

I have the Saito FG-30 it does gargle on take off but after that it never misses a beat, I also have the Saito 180, I put a Rexel ignition and a saito spark plug in it, and as stated on Rcgroups, it does run well on its original methanol carb. Whats a modified Walbro ?

Read Jon and Eric's posts,,, at the moment I am flying 3 twins and one 4 engine planes all with props turning also anti-clockwise as the above pilots, my 3 electrics have been tried with contra rotating props, and like them no difference at all. Ps, this is a model forum, maybe if you tried a multi engine one out ? I just went back to bed, Peter, and then realised that the torque thing that you were on about was probably your Moto Guzzi, or Bmw moto bike, yes I have ridden both of them, and the torque from the engine does make it 'swing', especially when throttling down into a roundabout, and opening it up on the way out, the Guzzi being the worst.

Understandable with a lump up front of a couple of tons and a 3-metre prop, but with our little toys, I tried it out, with no seeable effects. -

Ok so one in how many twins and 4 engines planes, or could it be that the American pilots weren't so good ?🤣 -
La Coupe Des Barons 2025
Paul De Tourtoulon replied to David Davis's topic in Shows, Club Events and Competitions
As said above a waste of time, I only use one model if I can, and get it trimmed to perfection, the plane, and the pilot, it's piloting skills that matter ! -

Ok on a single engine plane contra rotation on the same shaft, but not on a multi engine plane, not in any of my models -
After my own heart, the magic additive that also looks after my engines,,,😇

The same here, in the 60's I was working at Britlingsea, and still have the scars of trying to tune my Merco .35 in a 10-foot dingy rocking on the waves, boy did that prop bite,, -
Great models you wish you still had!

Glueing Control Surface Hinges and Horns??
Paul De Tourtoulon replied to Witterings's topic in All Things Model Flying
I don't pin solar covered planes, too ugly, I have had a glued toothpick fall out, the glue makes sure that the hinge is centred, doesn't move and fills any gaps that occurred when I have dug out a hole like the garden with a spade. What's Maintenance ? Do you mean checking out ?. -
Glueing Control Surface Hinges and Horns??
Paul De Tourtoulon replied to Witterings's topic in All Things Model Flying
It depends on the material, the type of hinges and of courses the stress that they are going to withstand, cheap underpower IC, I have used those plastic furry ones superglued in. My 'Normal' IC as above, 30 min epoxy in the slot worked in with a pin, rub down the proper plastic hinges and also paste some glue on, a drip of oil on the hinge point. The same on my fast overpowered missiles that are going to be painted with one exception, the tooth pick, as the paint will hide it. -
Never had that problem on 41.100 mhz and 2.4, on Futaba, phone in my left hand, on mode 2 full throttle and rolling circles,,, 😇 I have also flown my drones on both of those frequencies around TV and Phone masts.

My Black Baron Special, OS .48 surpass, I passed my QPDD in it in 1990 ( qualification for public demonstrations in france ) The Pink one with the USA stars was mine, silk covered and 2 pack polyurethane paint, I loved passing between two trees at the end of the runway high up, but one inverted pass ( just showing off 'again' ) was one too many,🤢 https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=7212 -

Here we go again, when you only have old models, my unlucky, lucky streak continues !, I got my Turbine powered Rafale out, my field tank is a 5litre go cart tank, it won't pump!, the clunk ( 25+ years old) is in 2 pieces in the bottom of the tank, anyway, I managed to tank up my plane, usual preflight checks, take off buzz around then the motor goes to idle OMG !, in fact it had flamed out, I dived to the runway, and put the wheels down on the threshold and ( here we go again😇) a perfect landing, took it back to the table, and like my field tank, the clunk in the main tank had also sheared off from age, so it only used half and emptied the hopper tank, still, that will give me something to do this week, change all the fuel lines.
