  1. The FG11 is in the right power range but it is physically a 60 size glow, just a bit more checking to see if the fuselage and cowl will be suitable. In the mean time I can start the build, the building board is empty which I don't like to see every morning. Steve
  2. As the weather is warming up in the UK my thoughts are turning to this build. Recently I have become a convert to Petrol IC and was wondering if a Saito FG11 would suit or should I consider the Saito FG14. Steve
  3. Yes, just the tips receive the signal.
  4. PC, Windows10, Edge and no Add Blockers. All works without any issues.
  5. I can live with them being on every page after the first post. Kitchen Garden could be of interest to me, Steve
  6. Yes, It all works for me. The adverts are after the first post and for Morton's products. No problem to me. As Don says, adverts or pay, is the choice. I assume the Forum will always be free to subscribers, and hopefully advert free. In the mean time all I can do is wait and see what happens. Steve
  7. Went to the field to fly the VQ Giant Stick and run two more tanks of fuel through the Saito FG21. Despite the first signs of spring I was on my own at Winterton, no coat or gloves needed and fleece removed as the spring like sunshine warmed up to a pleasant 15 C. I have a 8 ounce tank which gives 25 minutes at mainly half throttle on the ground, this first 5.2 litres of fuel is taking some getting through. Just as I started packing up Mike and his Mum turned up and were surprised to see only me at the field. Mike helped me pack up which was much appreciated as he has loads more experience cleaning IC models, I have next to none BTW. Another fun day for me. ☺️ Steve
  8. Went flying on Thursday with my Saito FG21 powered VQ Giant Stick. My first IC flight, being all electric until now. The sound of the four stroke petrol has converted me into a passionate IC flyer. I just can't stop smiling at how easy it was to fly, no harder than electric. ☺️ Steve
  9. Thanks Peter, I found it here DIY Signwriting | eBay Stores Steve
  10. Giant Shark are here About us (rclife.co.uk) Steve
  11. My latest build Hound Dog. Next will be Peggy Sue 2. Anyone else building?
  12. G500 Assemble Manual (hobbyking.com)
  13. I am also a novice which has made me give up posting any details as I don't wish to advertise my mistakes to the world, so I understand your reluctance. Steve
  14. Same motor turnigy 3536 900 kv. I built the cowl to fit the motor. Like this
  15. The outlet can be seen on the right hand side of the blue bit, half of it, but it's the only picture I can find in my build.
  16. For inlet I used a ventilated spinner and cut a hole in the cowl just below the spinner. The outlet is in front of the pilot made by cutting a large hole in the cabin floor.
  17. Yes please Bas. Post your progress with pictures and you will have my constant attention. Steve
