  1. Posted by Paul Marsh on 18/04/2020 10:28:37: Love the Curare . Wonder if Cloud Models will do a kit to complement their retro line? I’ll second that idea.
  2. Posted by malmaz on 17/04/2020 14:56:45: Just finished this plan built Curare, it has foam cored wings and tailplane cut for me by Cloud Models, fitted with electric retracts and powered by an OS 65 AX motor. I am waiting for a couple of props to arrive and this lockdown to be lifted so I can get out and give it it's maiden. In the mean time I will crack on and get a PB Tornado ( also supplied by Cloud Models ) Built. Regards Malc Malc - were the wings / tail plane a special order from Cloud Models or freely available ? I’m very interested in following your lead on this one having always fancied a Curare.. Jon

  8. Dave I only use Macs and have multiple email accounts for business and private use that all work fine including gmail. I suggest you go to settings / accounts then check you have inputted the right details and password. If that doesn’t work delete the account and reinput. Failing that you can find plenty of good Mac help video tutorials on line
  9. Try to trial fit the engine/motor and fuselage servos / linkages before the empennage is fitted so that potential damage from moving he airframe around is minimised...
  10. Paul I bought one second hand as a trainer for helping friends of mine - I still use it. I converted it from a tail dragger to a tricycle configuration as both are catered for in the original design. I learned to fly on a Kite at the now defunct ATS school in Wiltshire 26years ago - it is a great model that is both benign and aerobatic. happy to answer questions re the finished model and share pics -just PM me. Jon

  12. That's a stunning model build Martin - well done!
  13. Posted by i12fly on 31/01/2020 23:41:21: Lots of people hated the Montego, but I had a 1.6 litre one and it was a much loved car. Bought it half list price at 10 months old, kept it for 9 years. It could cruise all day at 90mph if you wanted. But at normal speed would give 32 to 40 mpg. It was comfy, handled really well, a nice drive (but lacked power steering when parking). Pulled my caravan at the time with 26mpg. Loved it. Only trouble I had was failing fuel pump and sticking fuel overrun cut off -both very difficult to diagnose. Hmm - I had a number of 'Montenogos' as 'company cars' in the mid 80s......windows that operated themselves usually when raining / windscreen wiper motors that failed / a mysterious bit of trim that appeared and disappeared in the footwell! Did I hate it - no, but was it a pain - yes!
  14. Maidened this Ripmax EasyStreet 2 yesterday - 3S power train: what a lovely flyer - only needed a few clicks of right aileron and two of up elevator...then smooth steady aeros and plenty of oomph! I normally fly IC but our patch has been churned up by motorbikes so this is an ideal model to get a flying 'fix' over the winter months
  15. I have had a TV License renewal email from a Belgian email address purporting to come from the UK TV Licensing authority...
  16. I have only just watched this on IPlayer and I'm very impressed at the positive / sensible tone from the presenter and the fact that she so evidently enjoyed her flying lesson whilst appreciating how challenging it can be. Well done to all involved Edited By Jon Laughton on 18/12/2019 08:56:03
  17. No Piers there is no radiator and I only heat it with an electrical space fan heater when I’m working and when it’s cold
  18. I have a workshop that is a 'small' double garage - even though it is insulated well after a refurb four years ago I am having some condensation problems and would like to invest in a small (desktop?) dehumidifier preferably one that has a continuous drain that I can feed into a sink and leave running. Any suggestions on make / model would be appreciated
  19. Very disappointed but proud to be an Englishman
  20. Something different and rare: a Blackhorse Fairey Albacore - OS91FX fitted instead of a 75. Bags of power...
  21. That's a great looking Hurricane Trevor - well done! For me it is the quality of the finish rather than the colour scheme that is most important
