John Miller 4
Am I missing something? Kamco kid says he holds the copyright. If he does I don't see the problem.
Rich B
I do . but not a lot else!! LOL Alan was joking about tracing parts, suggesting that it's a bit norty to trace the parts in a kit. It's only breach of copyright if you then sell them off or pass them off as your own. If I remember rightly, there used to be a free flight kit manufacturer who in their instructions suggested tracing the die cuts prior to assembly to aid repairs if they were ever needed. ...it might have even been KeilKraft. t'was a long time ago. Brian Lambert
Is it possible to obtain a plan of the Kavalier?
Malcolm Fisher
Brian, Don't hold your breath, but if I can locate the one I have you would be welcome to it. I doubt that I will ever get the necessary "roundtooit". Malcolm
Guvnor
Yes, Rich Booth still runs the company. http://www.kamcomodels.co.uk

Brian Lambert
Thanks for the thought Malcolm, I was hoping Rich B may surface. OK on the "roundtooits" I could use a large box of them myself!
Rich B
Hi guys, I've been working away this summer with my day job so took the ebay listings down as I wouldn't have been able to fulfill orders in a decent time frame. Brian, message me either on here or facebook and I'll see if I can get you sorted out before I have to go away again. Rich

Nightflyer
Hi Rich, that will be great to see the Kamco name about again. There is no doubt that the range of kits were popular because they were good model designs, and as someone else has said, retro is becoming popular. Leccy and laser cut parts will certainly freshen up the kits and probably boost popularity. Good luck with the revival.
Rich B
Thank you Nightflyer, It's taking longer than I was hoping as I have to fit it in around the day job as the bills still need paying but we are getting there slowly.
Hugh P
I built a Kamco Cloud Rider in 1985 for Colin Booth as part of my resettlement leave from the RAF. I think it was about to go into kit form and he needed a photo for the box! I remember he had a daughter and son so Iguess that may well have been you Rich. Rich B
It was us indeed Hugh. Small world!! Are you still in the area?
Hugh P
Moved away in 1999 to Cambridgeshire, great flying site at Warboys, right in the middle of an old Pathfinder airfield. Good luck with the revival, I'm sure there is a gap in the market. Regards to all. Hugh.
Budgie
And then the trail went dead. The URL is non functional now at least. Just been sniffing around as I'm trying to revitalise a Kadet at the moment.
Ian Dewar 2
I believe the Facebook page is still there, although I don't have an account to see the posts, but the pic of the Kadet, kloudrider and kavalier are mine! I did have some dealings with Rich Booth but nothing for a few years now. I know he kitted up some kloudrider and was making canopies for a while. He was also printing plans that may be on eBay still?
jeff2wings
Kadet plans are on outerzone if that's what you need.
