Peter Miller
I have found that if an item has a BIN and a starting bid the BIN goes as soon as there is a bid. If there is a reserve the BIN price goes as soon as the reserve has been passed.

Peter Miller
Ah! The old ED Challenger. I don't think they sold very many as it was a bit infradig to buy one. I don't think they lasted long either.
Wiltshire Flyer
Please forgive my lack of understanding but "infradig"?
FastFlyer Smyth
A Latin phrase meaning beneath someone’s dignity.
Daithi O Buitigh
Full wording is 'infra dignitatem' Alright - I had to suffer four years of Latin Edited By Daithi O Buitigh on 13/01/2015 01:32:
Peter Miller
Or, as it was meant in those days "In for a dig" In other words you were asking to have the micky taken out of you unmercifully for buying a model rather than building it. This was back in the 50s.

scott finnie
The acro wot looks like a lucky dip. I've placed a small ?5 bid. If I get it I'll share a video of me unboxing it on YouTube. Who knows what might be in it

scott finnie
In one of the adverts there's part built airframes. He's selling them all as a joblot . the boxes match a lot of the part builts and should be sold along with them

Daithi O Buitigh
Heck - I haven't seen any of these in years (when I came back to modelling ESC confused me - I thought these were still on the go)

John Privett
Heck, I didn't pay a lot more than that for mine brand new! Though that was quite a few years ago... I think somebody is going to be disappointed when they receive that box of scrap. Unless the wings and lots of wood is cunningly hidden away somewhere in the box! Erfolg
I just do not get it, the blurb is emphasing that this is a box of bits and it is up to you to convince yourself it is worth anything, so do not complain later, if you are foolish enough to buy it. I have a couple of boxes lying about with junk in them, a Guillows Giant scale Thunderbolt, that must be worth £5, I would pay no more for some one to take it away. What, I could get money for pretty box, strange world.
Andrew Price 2
Andrew, that guy has been highlighted before and the consensus seems to be not even with your barge pole. You would almost certainly end up with a box of, sort of, spare parts. More like a box of bits. Leave well alone methinks.
