Garbo
Do you know the Buchon is the Spanish varient with the Merlin engine? For me its as ugly as sin, much prefer the original.
Erfolg
I have got to agree Garbo!
jeff2wings
I think it look’s best in original Spanish AF colours , and plenty of other one’s to choose from as a “film star” over the decades, at least it would be easier to hide a engine in it’s cowl. But how about a Avia S-199 ?? different

Richard Harris
Arron, Any use? Here is a link to a ME109bf model at 1/6th scale, the cowl would have to be re engineered to match the shape of the Buchon plus the wing tips are rounded. Should be a pretty easy mod as you would just be copying the shape of the real one. ME109bf Kit Rich

jeff2wings
Sorry ,whent a bit off post there, you will need plans for a F or G model there are plenty to choose from and a side elevation of the Buchon for the nose profile ,
Tom Sharp
They used engines and cowls off uncomissioned Lancaster bombers.
jeff2wings
Sorry not so, the Lanc had a Merlin24 series and the buchion a 45 model and the cowl chin profile is much different ,the under chin radiator on the buchon is for the oil if I remember right. Arron Davison
God you guys are good!!!!! Im not saying it has to be the Buchon its just this shape of 109 i love!!! Im not keen on the other shape 109 where the nose cone is the same size diameter as the nose of the plane and dosnt have the big scoop vent under the nose. So what is the actual name of this style messershmitt ME 109????
Richard Harris
I'm with you Arron, there is just something about the 109 that looks 'right'. Correct me if I'm wrong but I am sure I have read that the Kawasaki 'Tony' was also designed around the 109?
