Kevin Fairgrieve
Oh dear. Despite the reminder I forgot to do my predictions. I thought I had but none are showing. Still someone has to be last. Kev
Pete B
That's 15pts in the bag so far, then.... a good start I reckon reducing the prediction score to 15pts is a good idea - it means that good team selection is going to be worth proportionately more over the season - and will reduce the 'chance' element that so often stuffed me last year! I had high hopes for a certain driver this year but he's binned already - and his replacement has delivered immediately. Pete - ever the optimist
Simon Webb
Hammy on pole!! Fantastic Edited By Simon Webb on 15/03/2014 18:16:
RichFR
Red Bull on the front row Pigs can fly didn't see that one.
John Privett
Posted by RichFR on 15/03/2014 18:28:21: Red Bull on the front row And I'm sure we were all devastated to see that it wasn't the RB driver you'd have normally expected to see on the front row! karl grey
Well done to Ricciardo for getting on the front row, wasn't expecting that one but did get my pole prediction in the bag.
Robin Kearney
Groan, despite Johns reminder I completely forgot to add my predictions, and I would have put Lewis on pole as well Did anybody watch it? What happened to Seb? Clearly RedBull have solved at least some of their issues with Ricciardo on the front row. Although reliability is another matter! RichFR
Software issue I think. It was also wet. I don't think Red Bull/Renault expect to stay near the podium in the dry. But reliability for everyone is key. Edited By RichFR on 15/03/2014 20:34:
iqon
I didnt pick Lewis for pole, thought his car would let him down again....
John Privett
Robin, Kev.... You're obviously out of practice after the long winter. Now go and write out 100 times for me, "I must not forget my predictions."
Robin Kearney
I might have forgotten my predictions, but I didn't forget to get up and watch it no spoilers for those of you not up at the crack of dawn!
John Privett
Indeed, Robin. I'll not give anything away yet either, but I suspect the points from many people's predictions might not be as high as they'd hoped! Results in due course. If badger post them during the morning it may be lunchtime before I get a chance to post them here.
Pete B
I've just deleted a post as we should all bear in mind that some folk won't have had the benefit of seeing the race yet. Please resist the temptation to post anything which gives away the results, folks, until after the BBC1 Highlights programme on weekends when they do not get full live coverage! In today's case, for example, that will be 1600hrs..... Remember - no spoilers!!! I thank you..... Pete
John Privett
Good point, Pete! I'll hold off posting the badger mini-league table until after the BBC-ites have had their chance to watch the race. I'll be out flying shortly, so I'll post the table on my return - somewhere between 5:00 and 6:30ish.
John Privett
Right then, hopefully all those who wanted to have now seen the race, and may or may not have also heard that Ricciardo, after finishing second, was subsequently disqualified due to a fuel-flow rate infringement. Pete B
It's gonna be one of those seasons, I'm sure.... the disqual meant I gained one point and lost two places from the original tally.... Worked for you though, John.... Pete
John Privett
So, varied results today. Robin and Kevin seem to have suffered slightly from not getting any predictions in (hint:why not do Malaysia's now!) In something of a turnaround in fortune Ian - who sat firmly at the foot of the league for the first 8 races last season - has leapt to the top today with the rest of us in hot pursuit. Red Bull are going to appeal against the exclusion, so the results and our scores could be revised.
Tony H
Well I thought it was a very good race weekend, even if the cars do sound a bit quiet and strange. I think most teams look pretty good too. I am fairly happy with my first race result, a couple of small tweaks should maximise my teams potential, it was really my predictions that let me down a bit ........lewis And I expected a little better from Alonso, so far so good. Robin Kearney
Hint taken John, predictions in!
Tony H
I always do my predictions for the next race at the end of the race before. Then I watch practice and if I think I need to change them, I will. at least that way you shouldn't forget to do any predictions.
