Charles Pic
Get your predictions done tonight chaps, because quali will be on you tomorrow before the steaming coffee dissolves the overnight tears from your eyes… Looking like another Verstappen walkover to me, I wonder how soon he can clinch the championship?
John Privett
Evening all, Japan this weekend, and as Charles has already reminded us - it's an early start tomorrow! So; Don't forget your predictions! It looks like things are back to normal following the oddity of Singapore, and once again Red Bull are setting the pace - or at least Verstappen is... P1 saw Verstappen setting fastest time, over 6 tenths of a second faster than Sainz with Norris third fastest. Leclerc set 4th best time followed by Tsunoda and Alonso. Perez was 11th, Russell 13th and Hamilton 16th. P2 was cut short when Gasly crashed, but again Verstappen set fastest time almost a third of a second faster than Leclerc's Ferrari with Norris 3rd fastest. Sainz, Russell and Alonso set the next fastest times. Perez improved a little from P1 with 9th, but Hamilton was trailing again, this time in 14th. P3 is tomorrow morning at 03:30, with qualifying at 07:00 (both UK-time) Sunday's race starts at 06:00. Good luck everyone! (And get those predictions done now!) 1

As is John S with only 1 point difference with Igor. A very close battle forthcoming... John Privett
Evening all! With the channel 4 highlights programme running on until almost 1:30am, I'll prepare this results post and hit 'send' in a little while. Hopefully anyone watching the highlights and not wanting to get a hint about the results will not at the same time be surfing the 'net and looking in places where those results might be found! 🙄 So first, our scores today; Pos League Rank Team Manager Pts 1 1 0 Essex Racing Tony Clark 309 2 4 0 GASTON Formula Chris McG 304 3 2 1 Pitts Specials john stones 285 4 6 0 Revers Racing Pete B 280 5 9 0 PSS Power Flyer 271 6 5 0 LetsGoTotoLetsGo GrumpyGnome 260 7 7 1 The JP Specials johnpflyrc 249 8 11 1 Norfolk Flyers Kevin Fairgrieve 246 9 13 0 Team Charles Picd Charles Pic 227 10 12 1 Mannschaft Carl Brotherton 213 11 8 1 DMFC Racing Team Simon Webb 212 12 3 1 Iqonic racing iqon 209 13 10 0 Hans Brake Zoonie 187 14 14 0 Oyster f1 Glenn Philbrick 180 15 16 0 teewrex John Tee 166 16 15 0 Torque of the devil Stu 127 Top scorer today was Tony with 309 points. But there's a change for 2nd and 3rd, with John S moving up a place to 2nd, and Iqon slipping to 3rd. A couple of mid-table place swaps see Simon and I swapping places, and Kev and Carl also swapping places. I am now 7th with Simon 8th, Kev is now 11th with Carl 12th. All other places remain unchanged. Next up, in two weeks, is the US GP in Austin, Texas. Again it's a Sprint weekend, so predictions need to be in early. John Privett
Evening all, With the race being late in the day, the Channel 4 highlights programme is still underway. I'll publish our results now anyway, in the expectation that those watching the highlights will not be surfing the 'net, looking in places where they might get hints about the race result! Tony is now second. Pete's points today take him up to 5th, pushing GrumpyGnome down a place to 6th, but there's only 18 points between them. Simon moves up to 7th, pushing me down to 8th, with a 25-point gap between us. Both Carl and Charles move up a place to 11th and 12th respectively, meaning Kev slips 2 places to 13th - but Kev is only TWO points behind Charles. Finally a swap of places at the foot of the table, where John T moves up to 15th, with Stu slipping to 16th. Next up is Mexico, and that's a 'conventional' race next weekend. Qualifying is at 22:00 on Saturday - so plenty of time to get those predictions in.
