Mark Agate
After 36 years of RC flying, I can't see a magazine lying on a table without thinking what a great aerofoil the pages make where they fold into the spine. Sometimes I see a simple cross on a piece of paper and think what a superb high aspect ratio glider it would make. Tonight my son spilt some milk on the dining table, and all I can see is a funjet flying left to right. See picture below. Do I need help, Doc? Mark Agate
Thanks! It's good to know there are people out there who understand.
John Privett
Posted by Mark Agate on 05/05/2013 20:28:09: Do I need help, Doc? Certainly not, Mark. It's quite clearly a Funjet. It's anybody who thinks otherwise that needs help!
Pete B
...and if you don't mop it up soon, it'll leave a mark and you'll both be in trouble with SWMBO... Pete
Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
No, don't worry Mark - perfectly normal behaviour,....as far as I know! BEB
Martin Harris - Moderator
Absolutely classic case of Multi-fixational Aeromodeller's Disorder (MAD) as diagnosed (all too frequently) by 'er indoors....
riverlandgirl.
Over here, aeromodeling is considered a mild mental disorder anyway. Stand up comedians include it in there routines, and I've actually had hoons shouting abuse from passing cars.... As far as I can see, your behaviour is entirely acceptable! SmarTmartY
Looks like a Funjet doing a pretty good knife edge to me (can they actually do that?). At least you have a copy for the men in white coats, just in case
cymaz
I wish I was as sane as you. My dear wife knows otherwise......ok nurse I'll have the blue tablets now....
Andy Palmer
Perfectly normal, we all dream about Multiplex stuff don't we? Now where did I put my sandals... Edited By Andy Palmer on 06/05/2013 08:15:
MikeS
Don't worry you in the early stages. Once you start picking up random otherwise useless items that make a perfect replacement part for your model you know you are in trouble. And yes I can see a funjet as well Mike Edited By MikeS on 06/05/2013 08:21:
Peter Miller
When we (RAF types) went on a tour to Aden part of the indoctrination lecture from the Medical Officer included the fact that when we returned to the UK after two years we would be twelve points below normal sanity level. It was generally agreed in the model air craft club that this would mean that our mental state would have improved considerably as we had a head start on the rest of them
bouncebounce crunch
Mark you are an absolute nutcase, I see a Hurricane with prop and tail section missing and flying to the left of table. gee some people really are unhinged. bbc.
Mark Agate
Thanks for all the messages of support. I now believe I may have been suffering from cognitive dissonance due to the possibility that the splodge more closely resembles a Twinjet than a Funjet (can just about see the Hurricane too). Anyway I'm feeling much better now, and have learnt that it's no good crying over spilt milk.
