john stones 1 - Moderator
I think you will be fine having someone launch it for you FB3, their hand should be travelling up out the way when they launch. Do as Uncle Ken advises and jobs a good un. John
Bill_B
Has anyone successfully done a 70mm EDF version of the Pushycat? I've done a quick t'internet search, but can only find one with twin 56mm EDFs. LINK
fly boy3
Thanks for that John, I did see a small vid. of a PC under arm launch some time ago, but failed to find it again. Cheers. Coldg that have been Ken's ?
john stones 1 - Moderator
Yes Ken put a video on I think, let a mate launch for test fly and you concentrate on trimming it. Just an underarm lob talk to each other and enjoy it John
John Privett
Yep - underarm lob is the way to go. It's worked 230 times so far for me. The only problems I've had is when I've launched cross-wind and it's hit the ground. Otherwise launches are drama-free.
Craig Carr
Hello fb3, Kens underarm video is on this thread Piece of cake to do, dont worry about it.

brfc7
Well Pushycat MK2 fly's I flew two 8 minute flights at about 7pm tonight. It went straight away from launching with just a few clicks of down trim. Flew really well considering the wind was at a constant 9mph with gusts reaching 13mph. I'll know more over the next few flights hopefully in calmer conditions. Baz

William Macleod
hi near st neots/biggleswade. Had a pudher prop one many years ago and had forgotten how much fun they are. Bill
Erfolg
Hmm, still puzzled, if your Pushy Cat is electric, why bother?
William Macleod
well the pusher prop model uses less power for the same performance than the edf.
Erfolg
If you are replacing a DF with an electric motor, you would not require a pusher prop. Although i may be a bit thick and missed something.
