WolstonFlyer
Same for me, bad weather and no flying. The few nice days we have had and the family want to go out somewhere for the day, don't blame them really but I am not going to get my 'A' at this rate
Phil Winks
Same all over the country boys the few good days we have had here in the SW have been utilised by me at least still not confident the A will happen in time but it won't stop me going
jolliffee
A bit of a wobbly moment for me on my Mighty Barnstormer - I have two planes slightly bigger that don't have any bracing on the tail feathers so I didn't intend to have the tail bracing wires on my tail feathers but I am now doubting my decision So are they needed I ask

David Davis
Baby Barnstormer only requires me to cover the wing and to install the radio. Lots of other things to do but the weather forecast looks favourable for Thursday so I hope to be able to test fly it by then.

Tony Bennett
had another 3 flights with my barnstormer over the weekend (between the rain and high winds) all my motor issues are now sorted and she flies a treat. fair bit of wind noise from my struts though and the colour scheme i chose causes some orientation probs at distance. ( just remember which way you were turning and wait till it orientates itself before you panic) so i can declare it is all ready for greenacres, it will be retired now till then as i dont want to prang it before the fly in. Phil Winks
That is just lovely Bernard you will find you need to use the rudder quite a lot in turns and with out differential (more up than down) the ailerons can be quite counter productive but then it wasn't originally designed to have them

Phil Winks
You didn't have to ask twice Cymas just because you've got twice as many wings there's no need to rub it in Absolutley you can join in in fact a few Bistormers were built as a part of last years mass build I even saw one back at Greenacres this year

jolliffee
Good to see this thread resurrected, my Barnstormer hasn't flown but now I think its time to dust it down and get it ready - maybe we should have a get together at Greeenacres next year -? Phil Winks
I totally agree Joliffee and it just may be a first in the history of the mass build, At the very least it'll be interesting to see how they've faired after 2yrs
