Internet Radio Stations - A whole world of real choice ...

Radio Paradise - Commercial Free, 181FM Jazz Fusion, Blue Ears Radio, Blues UK, Wave 105 ... Auntie Beeb if I'm really desperate!!!!

Local BBC Radio for a cringing laugh.

(In comparison of the latter, Alan Partridge is a pale imitation of the real thing .... Ah Haaaa)

Satriani and Boston on the CD player at the moment. Although i'm into darker stuff like ' Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold' , but they're not really for workshop listening.

Oldies can listen to Metal.

I'm not for pipe and slippers yet. smiley.

It's a mood thing -anything except Rap and most contemporary french music (I live in France and qualified to say that most contemporary french music is twaddle and on a level with Morrisey!). classical, lots of jazz, country and western, contemporary solo artists, heavy rock military bands (including, of course, pipes and drums), Portugese/Spanish folk, Irish Folk and German Marching songs! All this is thro' my Ipod Docker.

You lucky people with DAB access - hasn't reached France yet! I'm hoping to get a 'computer' radio working on a wifi extender for my birthday later in the year so as to reach into the workshop so I can have UK radio on as sometimes you just want company/discussion rather than music.

Tis true. I put my head inside a Marshall speaker system at a Gig once - that probably didn't help. Neither did an addiction to going to loud gigs on a weekly basis for several years nor riding motorbikes for the last 40 years.

The result is that I am now very deaf... c'est la vie. I wouldn't change any of it. (But I would have probably worn ear plugs while riding my bike if I had a second chance)

Just an aside about loud music. I have been playing drums for over 50 years , since the sixties . On a number of occasions I would have complaints about how loud I was. Loud ! loud ! I would say you want to sit where I am sitting !!!!!!!!!!. Luckily though I have no hearing problems .
