Phil Cooke
PSSA group visit to RAF COSFORD - Saturday 18th February - 10am All, Conscious it's tough for us PSSA modellers this time of year, it seems ages since our last formal meet in October and there's still months of short days and winter weather to bridge before our first planned event of 2017... I was thinking a group day out might be in order, a non-flying event but one with a strong aviation theme. Who's up for a group visit to the museum at RAF Cosford? It's a fairly central location (Shropshire) and offers a huge collection of aircraft to view up close, both indoors and out. A full list of aircraft on site can be seen here - **LINK** Entrance is FREE, you just pay £4 for a days parking and on the proposed date the museum is open between 10am and 4pm. Could I suggest a 10am meet in the car park so we can all start to explore together... there's a place to eat and a great aviation shop on site so plenty to occupy us throughout the day... **LINK** Link to official museum website Do please register here if you are interested, would be nice to know who's planning to attend. See you there! Phil

Paul Marsh
I've been loads of times, but still good to go again. Like Chris, we are only about an hour or so away. Edited By Paul Marsh on 17/01/2017 22:48:
Chris Barlow
You need a JP Paul. Build one, as light as possible. You won't regret it! Flies like a jet and very aerobatic, yet can land on a small tuft of grass on the slope. Perfect for flying up the Cloud when the NW wind (and the flying field) blows! Chris Barlow
Looks like some good news! Broached the subject with the wife this evening and she's promised all the clothes shopping will be done the weekend before and any last minute shopping can be done on the Friday so it looks like it's on for me! But.... and my apologies, she might want to come with me.......

Phil Cooke
No probs it being a family affair Chris, that's great! - I'll have my two rug rats with me too as they love a good run round an aeroplane museum and this is their first visit to Cosford. Geoff Jackson
For info Cosford has some new arrivals from RAF Hendon while they re-develop. ME109 and Lysander and others.
