Nigel Grant 1
Good suggestion Erflog. I"ll add my vote for a Phantom in the next batch when you're feeling up to it Tony.

Piers Bowlan
Phantom or perhaps the Mirage would be good subjects for a future TN build or in fact any fighter that doesn't have the wing passing through the centre of the duct, as I feel sure this must detract from the fan's efficiency? Steve Adams
Hi Tony I'd love to throw an ME 262 and Gloster Meteor NF 11 for when and if your up to it if possible? Yes I know the above never met in combat but the NF 11 Meteor happens to be my personal favourite mark, and the ME 262 is just lovely also! I'm sure the next TN creation will be gorgeous regardless anyway I hope you get better soon Tony Best Regards Steve
Marc ROCHE
Sorry, I need to change my glasses... I suppose it is Elevator +/8mm and Aileron +/-4mm.
Steven S
I would think they would both be ± elevator ±8 aileron ±4 Maybe Tony will clear this up for us.

Tony Nijhuis
Movements are alway +/- so for the elevator it is 8mm up and 8mm down
Tony Nijhuis
Thanks guys for all you kind well wishes......not designing for me is a little bit like going 'cold turkey' so i did some therapy over Christmas......hopefully following on in the same fashion from the MiG and Sabre.....Im going to do it at my own pace but always wanted to do a Hunter!!!! Steven S
Great looking build, I like the underneath cheater hole.and very tidy wiring job. I'm just installing my servos now and am shortening the wire leads to keep it neat inside my Sabre Jet. I'll be very interested in your flying report. Marc ROCHE
Hi all, Today too windy to fly and my turbine was unbalanced. I had to disassemble and cut the fuselage to get out it. postpone
Anthony Coyne
C'mon people, this is getting painful just waiting for someone to fly one of the terrific looking models!!!! The sun is shining so lets fly
Jack Petrie
I’m going to cut an extra cheater hole underneath this morning like you’ve done Marc and give it another try today, haven’t managed to get mine to fly before but I suspect it’s to do with the motor, have nothing here to test it right now. Wish me luck!
Jack Petrie
I decided to take the fan and motor out to test it outside of the model- all seems okay. However I’ve made another acetate tube and am unable to get it back around the fan unit inside the model, probably going to have to try and cut the model apart to get my hands on it to do it. Won’t be flying it this week!
Tony Nijhuis
Just in case there was ever a question about the power produced from these little 50mm FMS 'gem of a fan', here's a video form Sunday and the new Hunter..The model size is identical to the MiG/Sabre and the cheat holes for this model is a 40mm x 70mm hole in the underside. On board was the FMS 50mm 3s version, a 2200mah 35C 3S cheap lipo and a cheapo 40amp ESC....the AUW at the moment is 20oz......excuse the rubbish hand launch https://youtu.be/fsw_oj0dvDY Edited By Tony Nijhuis on 26/02/2019 13:54:
Ian Moody
Congratulations Tony, She flies with a good turn of speed and looks really smooth in the air. Can you do a video of the mig 15 as well please because I cannot get mine to fly unless I leave the top lid off and I want to see where I have gone wrong. Thanks Ian
Tony Nijhuis
Ian...so looking back through the postings you say you have the FMS 50mm from Banggood?... and assume it 3S version not the 4S? ........on the assumption you have some cheat holes in the sides you have 600g of thrust at your disposal!!! thats one to one trust to weight ratio which rocket stuff!!!......if you can only get it to power glide without the lid off, then there is something wrong with your Fan/ lipos or ESC setup.....the Hunter is 5oz heavier than the Mig and goes like a rocket (as did the MiG)! I will do a video of MiG at some point if only to silence the critics!
