dirk tinck
Hi,made the top sheeting today after installing all the electrics. As for the washout , i madeup a wedge starting with 2mm at the tip going to zero at the end of the sidepanels(2degrees is about 2mm at the back of the tip)and tack-glued them under the TE. dirk tinck
I wanted to give the dihedral braces alittle more grip so i filled the area between the spars(first compartiments)with 3mm balsa Edited By dirk tinck on 04/06/2018 00:34:44 Edited By dirk tinck on 04/06/2018 00:41:

J D 8
Heard of two in a Hurricane before but not a backseater with a popgun, must have surprised some 109's.
dirk tinck
To give the wingtips a little more support i sanded them flush with the false LE and then added the true LE Edited By dirk tinck on 09/06/2018 00:28:
dirk tinck
The black thing is spraypaint serving as a sanding guide so i don't sand the sheeting away. That would be big trouble I did also marked the position of the nav.ligths. When glueing on the tips , make sure the ply-part of the tip is in line with the aileron TE Edited By dirk tinck on 09/06/2018 00:37:
dirk tinck
Took a swing today at the wing fairings.Tried with blue foam with a balsa base.It came out rather well so tomorrow i'll do the other side. dirk tinck
Some more work on the wing fairings.I cutted the front part of the leading edge away and added it to the fuse because the fairings were getting to thin at the front. Its a really nice fit !! Time is running !! Edited By dirk tinck on 23/06/2018 23:50:

Steve McLaren
Yes, fabulous fairing Dirk. I don't think I'll have the time or patience to match that!
dirk tinck
Thanks Steve,it didn't take that much time really. The hard part is that the foam gets really fragile when it is that thin.I'm hoping the cloth will strengten the whole. Succes with yours ,greetz Edited By dirk tinck on 26/06/2018 23:37:

Peter Garsden
Looking good Dirk - way to go with photos is always take them with your phone landscape then they will always turn out right, or rotate them to landscape before you upload them? You can't rotate them on this site, there are no tools available for this.
