Curious and more curious. If you look on the website it is being run by two people trading as Radio Control Publishing Ltd. One is British and the other is Italian. However if you look here. **LINK** Then it appears to be owned by Sarik, but none of the names tie up at Companies House.

I might have a look at it, but don't think I will be buying a subscription.

I wonder how long before R/C Model World reappears under "different" owners.

A brave move to produce a new modelling mag these days, very much my interest so I might give it a go if I see it in Sainsbury's mag section. No way would I take any subscriptions now , modelling or others. BTW - I noticed that the new BMFA publication is available on the website before being posted. Thought they waited a while before putting it on the archive.

It's nothing to do with Sarik Hobbies, the two guys acquired RC Jet International from Traplet and the rights to this title were probably acquired at the same time. They have been quite successful with RC Jet International over the pass few years.

One of the editors worked/works for Ripmax, he is Colin Straus a nice chap and very capable modeller.

I agree that that new publishers do not appear to be connected to Sarik. I also wish them all the best in trying to make it succeed.

So why did Sarik post that information ?

I have my own thoughts and theories, but will keep them to myself as I have no "concrete" facts to back them up (currently).

The new magazine has nothing to do with Sarik, they are simply helping to promote it - nothing more.

I have just ordered a copy of the first edition, it's certainly worth a look. I hadn't heard anything about the new mag. until I saw it on this forum so I wonder how they are going to get the message out there. The name and cover format is certainly the same as the 'old' Simon Delaney edited mag. which ran from 1997 to 2004.

I hope the new publishers employ a proof reader so that there aren't the multiple spelling and grammatical errors that the only other currently available flying scale magazine consistently contains. I find that really annoying, as is the now frequent repetition of old articles and plans. I wonder when the first third generation repeat will appear... the puplishers are clearly keen on recycling! ?

Good luck to the publishers of 'new' RCSI. I look forward to receiving and reading my copy.

Brian.

That may be the case, but they did state categorically that it was them in the link.

However, I received the magazine and read it cover, to cover. It is very glossy with lots of pictures. The quality of the content is good and certainly lives up to the title "International". I thought the emphasis to be a bit heavy on BIG models with lots of close up pictures, but it is early days. Hopefully they will eventually cover all aspects of scale R/C, including smaller and indoor models. It seems to be aimed at the younger modeller (nothing wrong with that) With possibly a slightly different slant on the building side (with lots of pictures). It will be interesting to see what our "colonial cousins" and the rest of the World think of it. I look forward to the next issue.

Oh, and did I mention there were lots of pictures ?

?

Just looked at the new emojis. Good grief !!!

I did thumb through a copy of the new mag and it's nicely produced with content that interests me. However, I can find all that and more online and much wider in scope. Depends if you prefer hard copy l suppose,  and find the five quid or whatever it might be to be worth it.

Radio Control Publishing Ltd is proud to announce the launch of their new magazine, Radio Control Scale International,

It's simply Sarik passing on the fact that a new publisher (Radio Control Publishing Ltd, which has nothing to do with Sarik) has taken over the rights to RCJI and RCSI. Colin and Marco have are doing this on their own under a new Anglo/Italian company.

I saw that post you quoted and agree.

However my original link to a posting that was made earlier no longer works.

When I find it again I will post it again for you. That is unless the original announcement has been deleted.

It doesn't matter as it is all history now anyway. I just hope that the new company (and its owners) are able to survive in these difficult times and that the magazine flourishes, so that we can all benefit.
