Zflyer
I have an SC 20 any ideas what i can put it in. Thought Weston Cougar but recommendation for that is 25 +
David Davis
Obviously it depends what sort of model you want to fly. I'm assuming that your engine is a two stroke so virtually any vintage model of about 5feet (1.5 metres) in the wingspan would be suitable, the Super 60 for example. https://www.benbucklevintage.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_4&products_id=11 Scale model? Anyof the models from the Cambria Fun Fighter range would fly on a 20. https://www.cambrianplanes.co.uk/ourshop/cat_912084-CA01-Fun-Fighter-Spitfire-IC-Kit-42-Wingspan.html. WW1? David Boddington's Nieuport from the Sarik plans range. https://www.sarikhobbies.com/product/nieuport-24-model-aircraft-plan-rc1384/ Civilian scale? This pretty Cessna will certainly fly on a 20 two stroke, I've seen them fly on a small OS fourstroke. https://www.sarikhobbies.com/product/cessna-120-62/ Sports Aerobatic? Capiche. https://www.sarikhobbies.com/product/mag1500-capiche-plan/ Of course you have to build all of those suggestions. If it's an ARTF you're looking for there doesn't appear to be a lot of choice. A 20 would probably fly the Weston Cougar or the Weston Mini Hype but whether the performance would be satisfactory I wouldn't be able to say. https://www.westonuk.co.uk/Mini-Hype/
Jonathan M
Depends on what kind of model you want: something to pootle around with, something scale, or something more aerobatic? In terms of sports kits, the two smallest that spring to mind are Galaxy Models Wasp and Avicraft Mini Panic but both are specced for 25 to 32 motors so you might struggle with a 20. (Having said that I've got a kit for a Mini Panic which would fly nicely if not madly with a 20 - my last one had a 30 4-stroke which was pretty lively - let me know if you're interested.) Alternatively there must be scores of older plans on Outerzone for small motors: if you're happy building from plans just have a good poke around, for example: Gordon Whitehead 'Cassutt' 32.5" 4-chan racer for 0.20 engines OR see this as a perfect opportunity to design your first model !? Jonathan M
PS: Or, if you're into scale, how about a 48" Cirrus Moth DB Sport & Scale kit designed for 20 two-strokes?
J D 8
I do not recommend a 20 for Cambrian fun fighter, tried my Spitfire with Irvine 20 and was not much fun. Would fly ok [ ish] but launch had to be spot on for a getaway.
David Davis
The Mini Jazz is a fine looking aerobatic model designed for an OS 15. Your SC would certainly fly it!
john stones 1 - Moderator
Dave Boddingtons Excellence, flys well, straightforward build, engine perfect for it. https://www.sarikhobbies.com/product/rm299-excellence/
Zflyer
Gents, thanks for the replies. I have the Cougar to hand and am putting a 36 ASP in it. I think the Wasp and Excellence are likely candidates. Im pretty sure I too the 20 out of a Magician which actually I never got to fly. Back in the day in our club everyone had one. Built from the plan with a built up wing, great on a 20. Cut down Gangster 52 foam wing down to about 46", it was wicket on a hot 25 or a 40FP! Knife edge forever, whichever version.
Graham Davies 3
Wicked, not wicket. That spelling error might have stumped a few folk...

Matt Carlton
I can't imagine a .20 in a magician. Even the smaller wizard needs a .25 if not a .32 For a .20, I'd be looking for something around 2-2.5lbs AUW to avoid having to run WOT all the time. Gordon Rae's "Jazz 20" flies well; Jazz
Bob Cotsford
You could go vintage with a Mercury Galahad, either from the Outerzone plan or the Ben Buckle kit.
