Thunderboltkid
Hi All First time kit builder here looking at a low winger to build. Was thinking the Crescent Bullet by cloud models. I already own two artf Acrowots which I built completed. I have built a couple of ARTFs. All thoughts gratefully recieved
GrumpyGnome
Depends what type of plane you want really..... the Seagull P47 builds nicely but is quite a lump!
Graham Bowers
If you're thinking of the bullet, just go for it. Not quite sure what you're hoping for in the way of replies to be honest.
J D 8
He is looking for a Kit to build having only previously assembled ARTF types. SLEC Funfly kit, IC or Electric available. I would say a simpler build than the Bullet nice though it is.
Jon H
The seagull challenger is a simple little build. Pegasus and DB offer a variety of models as well. I recommend you narrow the focus a little. Powerplant - What size? Glow? Electric etc Type of model - Low wing ok, but scale, Sport, aerobatic? Type of construction - Foam wings and a slab sided fuselage with foam decks, or a full built up wing and fuselage? The goal of this adventure - Is the goal to build the model of your dreams, or to build anything as a way of learning/improving your building skills in preparation for the model of your dreams? If you can narrow down the scope of the question it will be easier to recommend a specific model. The foam wings and deck type models are quick to build and are more difficult to build in a banana shape, but built up wooden kits can be very satisfying and, often, a little less boxy. I agree with this, a first time builder myself and most of the way through this kit without any major dramas, in fact it's come along quicker than I'd planned as I'm no where near capable of flying it yet!! It is quite an imposing lump, I love it!
john stones 1 - Moderator
Build something you want to fly, something that gets your juices flowing, only yourself that can decide which one. If its because it your first build you're unsure, you've a forum here to help you. Bullet sounds a good choice to me.
EarlyBird
Not a kit but not far off with this lot 4-Max Brushless Motor setup for Peter Miller Hound Dog, Free Plan in the October 2022 issue of RCM&E and Peter's designs all fly well.
