The retracts are Comet, I had some they worked well. The quadrant could be removed and I made a new one from marine ply to reduce the movement to suit a FW 190. It worked for a while but became erratic so I put the plastic one back. The later Mick Reeves Spitfire had a modified wing to attain a more elliptical shape, if my memory is  correct.

Hi All, was there a retact servo in the 70s, like the retract servo of today as in the,  Hi Tec HS-75BB, or was a basic run of the mill servo used, again many thanks for any info, I've fitted the Hi-Tec Retract servo but I can't seem to to get enough movement to fully lock the legs down.

Hi John, thank you, no I dont think I can, not much room at all to be honest once the servo is in, the wheels lock up, but down Im are about 1/2 inch to short to lock down,

I had enough tonight, as beed working on it few days now lol, at the weekend Im going to try servo arm maybe that might give move throw, as up to now i've only used the servo disc up to now.
