John Lee
I seem to recall when I made the kit version many years ago it was 1/16 ply with a bit of balsa cladding. The ARTF looks like it's a similar but made of GRP: In either case it is not load bearing - they just keep the wings from wobbling, so not critical what they are made of. Engine Doctor
If you make them you could also use poppers to fix them like on the panic . Ive just used popper on an Elf Bipe wing struts. Save all that fiddling with screws at the field.

Engine Doctor
Sorry I never got back but Fling Squirrel has the pic sorted 👍. Ive just finished off an Elf Bipe and used them to fix the struts . Quick and easy to fit at the field and pop off if the wing gets a hard knock with out ripping the mounts out . Just be careful when fitting them not to get any glue in the spring retainer . I used 302 modified Acrylic two part glue as its very strong, sets very quickly before it can run into the spring.
Frank Skilbeck
They are made of grp fibre board with balsa on each side to give it a section. The top wing support on the artf is quite floppy so these are needed to secure the wing. Let me know if.you need to know the thickness.
