Edgeflyer
This is getting expensive. Does anyone use alternatives successfully?
Outrunner
I bought some Blenderm recently off eBay and it was expensive at £5 or £6 for a 4.5m roll, then the other day i noticed SMC are flogging it off cheap https://sussex-model-centre.co.uk/products/db916-electric-flyer-hinge-tape-5-yds-7 I've used Scotch tape and it's almost as good as Blenderm but I didn't regret buying the proper stuff as it will last for quite a few models. Duncan Disorderly
Cheapest bought from medical suppliers, as it's manufactured for sticking stuff to skin. Way cheaper than any model supplier but you might have to buy a box, which is what I did last time - most eagerly consumed by my clubmates. e.g. 4.5m x 2.5cm - box of 12 rolls for £

Engine Doctor
Look for Sellotape Diamond tape if you can find any otherwise their Superclear tape 8s the currdnt nearest. Very strong adhesive, UV resistant and once on its unoticable as its so clear. The Scotch tape super clear is not very good.

Keith Evans 3 Posted Tuesday at 08:41 Share Posted Tuesday at 08:41 When using Diamond tape as a hinge .is it used as one continuous strip along the hinge just on one surface or is it better to use both top and bottom surfaces like using the covering film technique . Could the top and bottom technique be used but only using say one inch strips at suitable positions thanks Keith
