Terence Lynock
Eeeerrrrmmmm.................Hedgehog...Squirrel...goatmeat jerky... We used to get dumped on the Yorkshire Moors, Dartmoor, up in the Highlands and sometimes North Wales on survival coarses and had to live off the land travelling from A to B usually about 65 miles in three days. We would have to drop in at checkpoints in the correct order and not be seen or found in between otherwise we were officially dead, if it was edible we massacred it and we became very adept at poaching Pheasant, Duck, fish, and if none of that was available we went foraging and usually devastated the local wildlife in the process. On the odd occasion we dined on roast pork and free beer, the free beer from the l ocal pubs generously supplied by the gaffer and roast pig via Billy Chambers having the nack of nicking piglets without the slightest sound, still havnt figured out how he did that.......cant ask him cause he's dead now, got blown up in Belize in the late 60's....most inconvenient......, regards, Terry

Frank Skilbeck
River Turtle in China, as were the guests they presented me with the shell and the skin on the shell was meant to be good for you, it was like eating slimy rubber. The starter dish was some long thin things deep fried in breadcrumbs, very suspicious but very tasty, we asked what they were and advised they were shaved mushrooms. They also had some cold jellied fish which was equally disgusting, but the rest of the meal was ace. Star beer anyone in Nigeria, taste depended on how much formalderhyde they had used in that batch.......................
Phil Winks
while on an escape and evasion style training exercise, I once watched some army mates eating what our TSM claimed after they had consumed it, was his sons hampster to be honest I reckon it was disguised chicken but the look on their faces was a treat
