  1. I had a model with a Saito 82 fitted and it used to run beautifully on Bekra 10. My local model shop is not brilliant at keeping stock of fuel and on one occasion I had to settle for Bekra 5. The model overheated and the engine cut every time I tried flying it. Switched back to a 10% fuel and the engine started behaving again. This has nothing to do with 20% fuel, but does prove (to me at least) that higher nitro fuel can lead to cooler running.
  2. I have one of these and it's been no problem at all in the 5 years or so that I've been using it. I have attached a 3s 3300mAh LiPo to it using a piece of wood as a stand-off. It won't quite manage a 50cc petrol, but anything smaller is no problem at all. I even leave it out for visitors to use at our open days. The long leads have been shortened and the crocodile clips replaced with XT60s.
  3. I used HobbyKing film on my Farmhand 90. Results can be seen from my Avatar.
  4. That would appear to be the obvious thing to do. It's surely not beyond the wit of man to sort something out. I don't mind if BMFA earn a bit of interest in the time they hold my money. I'd much prefer to just pay up once a year rather than having to mess about.
  5. Can't we just pay our BMFA subs plus CAA tax in December like we did last year? Where has the 28 day restriction come from?
  6. So steps 1 and 2 are good for "the planet" and are effectively a cure to global warming? Why not stop there then rather than undoing all the hard work by burning the bi-product? No need to answer my hypothetical question. I already know the answer.
  7. I can't read the full independent article so I may be missing something, but isn't creating a synthetic fuel in order to burn it just adding to the global warming problem? Surely we should be looking at alternatives to burning fuel.
  8. Worrying that these are similar batteries to the ones we will all be sitting on top of in our electric cars.
  9. OpenTX has a form of model match. Is this allowed because it's open source and non-proprietry?
  10. I don't have an issue with Amazon per se, but I've found that recently more and more overseas products, mainly Chinese are being sold through Amazon Marketplace. They don't make it obvious that it's coming from abroad and the ability to contact the seller is variable at best. I suspect that this practice was started due to the recent VAT changes. Rather than overseas companies registering for UK VAT collection, they are using Amazon to do it. I am now reluctant to use Amazon. I notice that Amazon profits have taken a hit recently. Maybe this has something to do with it? Maybe your postie feels that he knows you well enough to vouch for you? Ours does this for us and I don't have a problem with it.
  11. Yes, that's what I said, but I'm sure you already know that as a non casual reader. I use it regularly. I don't wear gloves, masks or goggles but I do try not to get it all over my hands.
  12. My apologies to the casual reader if he misunderstood my message. I offer no apologies to the formal reader, who will understand that the message I posted was about original Gorilla Glue because he read it properly ?.
  13. It is. That's what @Rich Griff was referring to.
  14. Indeed. There's a lot of lawyers in California making a good living from this sort of thing.
  15. H351 is classed as Carcinogen Cat 2 = Suspected of causing cancer, as opposed to Carcinogen Cat 1 = Known to cause cancer. Treat it with respect, like all glues and chemicals and it is fine.
  16. Not just you EB. Was very slow for me earlier.
  17. Two old boys mucking about with guitars? How about Don and Phil Everly at their Alert Hall reunion concert? True brotherly love on display here, despite their differences. Beautiful!
  18. I agree. Companion is just a tool to make it possible to set up and test a model from the comfort of your PC chair.
  19. My guess is user error ?
  20. Microsoft Security Essentials updates aren't Windows 7 operating system updates. Security Essentials is Microsoft anti-virus software. The last actual Win7 update I had was this: Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2952664) .... but I did have this security update: 2019-09 Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB4474419) ..... and I have had half a dozen or so malicious software removal tool updates since then including this one today. Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - v5.94 (KB890830)
  21. I'm on Windows 7. Marketplace looks OK at my end.
  22. ... or you could just trawl through this forum and learn just as much ... and ask questions if there's something you're not sure about
