Afraid I don't understand the question.... and it's a petrol vehicle...
-
Not really. If I want, I can get in my old Skoda estate, and drive to John O'Groates in the north of Scotland, or Lands End in the South, without encountering ANY pollution laws...... admirable hyperbole in your earlier post.

Is this the first time you've tried to use it?

In answer to your questions..... 1. Yes, high winged aeroplanes are inherently more stable. My simplistic view is that's because most if the weight is below the wing but aerodynamicists could offer a more scientific reason. Some say size doesn't matter, but it does! Too small and you'll need to keep the model closer in flight, and, generally, it'll be limited to light winds; too large and it'll cost more, be harder to transport, and carry more mass so may be more easily damaged. For electric, IN MY OPINION, if you are going electric 3S or 4S power is the way to go; if you're going IC a .46 (7.5cc) is the 'sweet spot' 2. An electric twin is as easy to operate as a single, but it's more complex, with more to go wrong. I've never had an ic twin but I suspect you need a degree of ic experience to set up and operate 3. Why? I assume you mean why electric? You can just charge your batteries, turn up and fly; there is no engine to tune; you may have a larger choice of flying sites/times These are all personal opinions and are generalisations. My advice, as ever, is to get in touch with your local club. They can help you choose a model, and teach you to fly it safely. In the meantime, head over to the BMFA website (https://bmfa.org/) and have a look - specifically at the legal requirements. Good luck, keep asking questions.

Pollution laws? Presumably you mean the low emission zones in some cities?

When it shrinks, you may be left with white edges..... acetone removes this nicely

Bottom sounds about right...

Not bad games overall considering most teams are rebuilding for the next world cup...

He tackled the Wales 10 (I think) and bashed his head into the other players chest..... poor tackle technique

Weird British weather....... glorious day on NE coast - warm, sunny, calm. I'm too busy to fly, but some others did. I'm sure positions will he reversed at some point toto.

I am....

Yaaay. I'm top of the world league!

Welcome back, Jonathan ! Ask away........

🙂 I'd need to be wearing a Sou'wester if the windows were open!

It's brought me sleet, wind, and cold........ wife's at work so I can do non-smelly pottering in the house!

@Rocker I doubt you'll get a concensus unless you can provide more info, like.... Where will you use it ? At home, field, or both What kind of battery chemistry do you need it to charge? LiPo, LiFe, Pb, Nimh, etc. etc. Maximum output (how many cells) ? How many packs do you need it to charge at once? (I think all modern chargers will balance charge, discharge, and charge to storage capacity) Anything else you need or want (alarms, temp cutoff, IR, touch screen etc.)?

Lovely day on NE coast - well under 10c but very gentle breeze. And our field has dried enough to park cars on it avoiding the 30 yard walk! Just me and Kev..... I flew my Double Trouble a few times - film is lifting, fraying so it's starting to look a bit tatty. It has done 200+ flights. Also flew my Spacewalker - liking it more and more.. Kev brought his much-repaired Decathlon and despite saying many many times "I'm not buying any new planes", turned up with a lovely DLE20 powered Chippy. Flew beautifully. (The engine is running, hence the banana prop!)

Maiden flight of the Tiger 60.
GrumpyGnome replied to aidan mcatamney's topic in All Things Model Flying
Ouch! Happens to us all..... whatever the cause. -
Given that he cited inexperience and ignorance (or words to that effect), it's a shame the sentencing can't be revisited now this 'evidence' is in the public domain. Also, it'd he great if the authorities more actively pursued the idiots on social media who not only flout the law, but encourage and enable others to do the same.

Slope soaring, an ideal entry into learning to fly RC model aircraft?
GrumpyGnome replied to Rich Griff's topic in Beginners
@AndyP85 Have you flown anything before? A Hawk is probably not a suitable model for a complete novice..... probably not for someone as a first slope soarer either. ...... -
Good point leccyflyer, my apologies to all

Welcome Graham. 1. Find your nearest club to get face-to-face advice 2. If you haven't already done so, head over to the BMFA web site, look around, and pay particular attention to the regulations for flying model aircraft. Are you planning on joining a club, and being taught how to fly (recommended), or trying to 'go it alone'?

Welcome back! Let us know how you get on....

Really good!
