  2. You will also need a watt meter to check the current draw if you experiment with different prop sizes.
  3. According to propCalc, you should get 10 to 12 minutes of mixed flying but you should fly for a few minutes, land and check the battery for a more accurate estimate. Also, that set up appears to produce about 30 to 40 watts of power which isn't much for the size and weight of model. A 10 by 5 might be better but you would need to check the current with a wattmeter, also it would reduce the flight time to 8 to 10 minutes.

  6. If you just google 1.5mm prop adapter there are a number of options available.
  7. Can you provide more details on the 1050KV motor? You won't necessarily lose power but it may need a slightly smaller prop to avoid exceeding the current rating of the ESC.
  8. I had a similar problem on my Slowpoke, gears on the rudder servo stripped eventually due to the extra stresses imposed by the tailwheel. Replaced it with a metal geared one.

  10. I looked up the transmitter on the hobbyking website and the battery looks like a repurposed compact digital camera battery. It may be possible to find a replacement by sending dimensions and pictures to a camera battery supplier. Whether the tx is worth buying depends upon the price but it would have to be very cheap to be of interest.
  11. Bigger definitely better, easier to see and doesn't get blown around as much.
  12. It depends upon the type and size of model. A small fast delta foamy with a pusher prop might need a 2200kv motor with a 5 inch prop. A large slow trainer might need an 850kv motor with a 12 inch prop. It also depends upon the current rating of the motor. Unsurprisingly, motors with a higher current rating can turn a larger prop than a lower rated motor assuming that they have the same kv rating. I use propCalc to determine the best motor/esc/prop combination.

  14. Definitely need the ability to switch off the stabiliser. Gain too high results in a roller coaster ride, stabiliser response in the wrong direction is even worse.
