John Privett
Ken, down here in the "sunny" south-east we managed to get to the giddy heights of 13c before rain stopped play this afternoon... Meanwhile, down-under in Perth, Australia where my little sister now lives, in the middle of the night, in the middle of winter, it was a couple of degrees warmer than our daytime, "summer" temperature. flytilbroke
Recently re-met a nice guy who couldn't quite manage the normal Scottish weather we were having at the Balbedie Model Flying Clubs' Midsummer Extravaganza. Well I have news for him,,, we did not like it either so we had a better than usual "P" is up. Must have been the right thing to do, he kept us company for a fair bit of the evenings. He missed the best flying day I even have a photo to prove he was OOP North, of the border. Memo to self, must learn how to get it on here. Craig Carr
Ftb.... Was it this bloke here in the striped shirt at one of our club bbqs? Standing next to that ken Anderson fellow? Its the lesser spotted Michael Mcturk. You can go for months without seeing him then appears out of the woodwork every so often to give all the regular lads a bad head... Sounds like you guys have been his latest victim all good fun though, he's all right in small doses I'm off to his house later to buy his Seagull Seafire. John Privett
Ooh heck, Ken. Aren't dual circuit brakes meant to prevent problems like that? Or does his covered waggon pre date such modern luxuries?
Pete B
See Ken, that's what happens when you let him out unsupervised - should have brought him to Greenacres........ Pete ps - no models damaged, I hope???....

enrico
Yo John, no dual circuit brakes, no power steering ,just 2ton of 26year old VW LT 31 camper. Rope and anchor spring to mind !!!
John Privett
Good to see you survived the escapade! Perhaps Ken can organise a whip-round to buy you a bigger anchor and a stronger rope... Mind, you can probably pop down to the fish quay at shields and nick acquire some more rope...
