Tim Mackey
OK so maybe not my favourite discipline, but you gotta hand it to this guy and his model. Our club 3D Ace Barnesyboy just posted this on the club forum

Phil 9
It has been the aim of (scale) modelers to imitate full scale aircraft. Will full size designers ever try to imitate the performance now seen in models?

Without detracting from the pilots skills, its not flying, it's vector brick control. Not much new, the motor control has been used for some time on RC "kites" I'm impressed by the pilot's coordination, but the concept needs to be put into context. Lindsay Todd
Well youv'e got to be impressed, would of been much better though with security guard chasing him all over the place - bit like the old key stone cops type thing!
David Ashby - Moderator
Hats off, darn impressive.
Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
I'm feeling very old - and running out of "D's" very fast Its not my thing at all - but definitely skillful - if a little "odd"! But "live and let live" whatever floats your boat as they say! BEB
Kozmyk
Very impressive.I wonder how long it'll take 'em to get it fly backwards.
Jonathan Lewzey
that is seriously skillful. not sure who is better, donatos or martin muller, now they both have VPP vectored. 6D? might have missed something but how is it 6? looks the same controls as martin muller's 5D of course its unconventional, but i don't really believe this is flying any more. its art; and like acrobatics or dance there is an almost unlimited range of maneouvres with VPP vectored. i hope it grows as its a truly exciting new area
Adam Lomax
You are correct Jonathan, this is 5d.in a 6d model the motor would be able to pivot up and down as well (not just left and right). It is pretty amazing thoughEdited By Adam Lomax on 26/12/2010 17:42:
Brian Hammond
Where was this filmed, sorry, videod I,m old!
Adam Lomax
The guy flying it (Donatas Pazuolis) is from Lithuania, so im guessing somewhere there
Simon Chaddock
Amazing but I guess it would have to somewhere like that. I can't imagine H&S would be too impressed with flying on a busy day in the Trafford Centre!
