That is absolutely stunning Tony. Simply amazing. I stand back in awe mate.

She looks gorgous a real "presence" and I bet she'll be an imposing sight in the air.

Regarding getting it in the Mini,...well TN once told me that he knew a bloke that regularly got one of these into some incredibly small car or another - I can't remember the make now - a Fiat 500 or something! Anyway - it was small, very small. So I reckon you're going to do it no trouble. You won't be able to get in the car as well like - but hey, what do you want? The moon on stick? wink 2

Just read through this whole thread, well dont Tony! I was considering going for the 134" when I wimped out and got the 72" Lanc instead, glad I did now, that thing is huge!!

Youve made a lovely job of it, lots and lots of work. When its fitted out and ready for its first flights will there be an update here? I bet that will be a sight to see!

Scott.

Hello Tony

I am just acquainting myself with this site and your amazing skills.

Having read the thread through, I need to catch a few breaths!

I just joined up as I am in the middle of a Brian Taylor 71" Mosquito build, and my sons bought me a 134" TN Lancaster to build up.

One thing I noticed was that somebody questioned the need for a B cert. Do you know if this is required? I have an A cert and intend to fly it myself so would get the B cert if required.

Regards

G

well after being away from me for the last 4 years, she has come home.

the gentleman i built if for sadly died in june having never flown her.

he left me the Lancaster in his will, so i picked it up after the nationals.

there was some damage from being stored in his garage, so repairs have been started.

i will also be doing some modifications to bring it up to a more scale appearance.

designed and printed out the first of the browning machine gun barrels as well.

we plod on.

There is not much to say.

I built it for a good mate called Garry.

he was in his late 70's and had been flying models all of his life.

he had arthritis and could not build any more, but he loved his flying.

he fitted the model out himself, but sadly became ill and died before he could fly it.

it sat in his garage with his other models and every thing got damaged over their time in storage.

that's it really.

it is mine again now and will be restored and flown in the near future.
