Bob Cotsford
of course Ron, doesn't everyone have several builds on the go at once?
Ron Gray
It does look rather nice, I must admit. Will have to look to see what leccy motors I have in the 'spares' box when I get back home tomorrow, if I've one suitable then I may well have to get one too! Skankster
Thank you very much for advice everyone, it is an original easy street which I only paid ?12.50 for not something I was looking for but too much of a bargain to turn down when it was only a few miles away. From your advice Persy the old brushed motors and esc will not work with the new style lipo battery??

Colin Carpenter
Clubmate has just had an E S 2 delivered and I've been for a look . Well packaged and nicely made. Covering looks ok too ! Accessories seem up to the job as well . Construction has commenced and I think an undercarriage will be added. Seems enough room to get a ply plate and triangle stock in there with long forceps ! Frank Skilbeck
Posted by Skankster on 27/12/2017 09:01:42: Thank you very much for advice everyone, it is an original easy street which I only paid ?12.50 for not something I was looking for but too much of a bargain to turn down when it was only a few miles away. From your advice Persy the old brushed motors and esc will not work with the new style lipo battery?? Skankster, the ESC and motor will run on a Lipo battery, but a 3s lipo will be too high a voltage and the brushed motor will give out lots more power, but probably not for very long before it burns out. If you want to use the originlal brushed motor and ESC than a 2s lipo will be a better match for an old 6 cell Nicd. But the low voltage cut out on your ESC will not protect you Lipo as it's designed for the older type batteries so the cut off voltage is wrong. As Percy notes a brushless motor with a 3s battery will be more powerful and efficient.
Skankster
Thanks again everyone, don't really understand this electric stuff yet but definitely looks like a new motor and esc will be sourced soon
Martin McIntosh
I built a copy of this many years ago and it was able to accommodate at least a six, or it may have been eight, sub c nicad cells, so what is the problem with a tiny 2200 lipo? Subsequently fitted an OS 25LA and it transformed the model completely. It is now back to electric with an out runner and lipo, retracts fitted as well. If the new one is as good as the old you will love it, other than the silly price.
Lima Hotel Foxtrot
Addlestone Models have the Easy Street II in stock as well as the hot 25 size outrunner for it.
Capt Kremen
Is the construction / strength of the fuselage up to adding an undercarriage e.g. something like a 'Wot4' ali or similar? Otherwise, would the wing/spar accept a ply block each side for a wire leg insert?
