iqon
Posted by John Tee on 23/10/2018 20:01:03: Been away for a few days and o nly saw the race today - kept away from papers and tv so in the dark. Surprise good result from my point of view. Even got a good score! Well done to the top 5 keep it close and clean. Can I make up 50 points on Gary to get off bottom place? John Edited By John Tee on 23/10/2018 20:01:25 easy and more - will 10th do you

John Privett
P2 is now underway in Mexico, and again it's a late start for us in the UK for both qualifying (7pm tomorrow) and the race (7.10pm Sunday) Red Bull seem to have the upper hand this weekend with Ferrari and Renault next and Mercedes well down the list. Lewis 'only' needs 7th on Sunday to take the title, but is 7th in P2 really his true pace? Well, you've got all day tomorrow (up to 7pm) but I'll just issue the customary reminder now; Don't forget your predictions! I've just done mine, but I think I'll keep a close eye on P3 tomorrow afternoon in case I need to rethink them!
john stones 1 - Moderator
Interesting practice, Mexico could throw up a weird result, could be a very good race.
Simon Webb
Hey I was the winner! Iqon.....never mind mate. There are 3 types of people in this world.... Those that can count.... And those that can't!
iqon
Sorry Simon - I`m looking at Championship. Rather John won than Pete. If it`s not too late well done for being TOP SCORER.. But your right I cant count ask Whatsisname.
Pete B
I too think John DESERVES to win, given the effort he puts in to running the league - but I'm still gonna do my darnedest to beat him!... I think I might be re-hashing all my predictions after P3.... Pete
john stones 1 - Moderator
All to play for yet, hope it goes to last race, podium there for you Igor, give yourself a talking to.
John Privett
My predictions look very unlike any I've made so far this season. Will I change them after P3? Who knows! I think this race could shake up the order of our table a bit...
iqon
If I get to top I`ll take it. but think 3rd step more realistic. Depends on manager

McG 6969
... what in fact do you mean by 'updated following FP3', John? ... I haven't stopped 'updating' stuff since the WE started. At least I guess it will be quite a surprising race with those apparently 'strange' handling hyper-softs. Good luck to everybody. Cheers Chris
John Privett
Just that I set up a 'banker' set of predictions following P2. I normally don't bother changing predictions at the last minute (I go with my 'gut instinct' - right or wrong!) but this time I changed them. Or at least one of the predictions. Right then, Q1 in 5 minutes and counting...
John Privett
One quick request/reminder... The channel 4 coverage in the UK is not live today, so please - for the benefit of those not watching on $ky, no 'spoilers' - Ch4 quali coverage finishes around 11:30 tonight. Thanks! John Privett
Me too, Chris! I had Verstappen for pole. I've got him down for first and fastest lap today too, with Vettel second and Hamilton third. I'm not sure how those predictions are going to work out now... We'll see! John Privett
OK folks... It's getting late, the Channel 4 coverage is going on until 1am, but those watching on channel 4 should hopefully be watching the race and not browsing the forum. So, ***SPOILER ALERT*** in case you are viewing this whilst watching the channel4 coverage - DON'T READ THE NEXT 2 POSTS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE OUR LEAGUE RESULTS! John Privett
So our scores for today are as follows; Pos Team Manager Pts 1 Pitts Specials john stones 145 2 iqon racing iqon racing 137 3 Norfolk Flyers Kevin Fairgrieve 125 4 Essex Racing Tony Clark 123 5 VBT Racing Yorik 117 6 GASTON Formula Chris McG 117 7 teewrex John Tee 114 8 PSS Power Flyer 113 9 Mannschaft Carl Brotherton 107 10 Team Webby Racing Simon Webb 106 11 AnyoneSeenBernie johnpflyrc 104 12 Revers Racing Pete B 104 13 Team Charles Picd Charles Pic 102 14 Flying Eagles Gary Goodfellow 88 A lower than normal scoring race - the top score in the whole of fantasygp was only 191 points. Out top scorer today was John Stones with 145 points. Well done John! Second was Iqon on 137 and third was Kev with 125. I'm not going to comment on the actual race/championship placings until the channel 4 folks are safely 'up to speed' on the results, but up next, how will Pete and my mediocre poor scores affect the table? (And I wonder if Pete and I have the same team and predictions!) Edited By John Privett on 29/10/2018 00:10:
John Privett
The overall positions in our league now look like this; Pos Gain/Loss Team Manager Pts 1 0 AnyoneSeenBernie johnpflyrc 2675 2 0 Revers Racing Pete B 2648 3 +2 iqon racing iqon racing 2585 4 0 PSS Power Flyer 2573 5 -2 Team Webby Racing Simon Webb 2571 6 0 GASTON Formula Chris McG 2479 7 +1 VBT Racing Yorik 2468 8 -1 Team Charles Picd Charles Pic 2455 9 +1 Pitts Specials john stones 2449 10 -1 Mannschaft Carl Brotherton 2425 11 0 Norfolk Flyers Kevin Fairgrieve 2377 12 0 Essex Racing Tony Clark 2373 13 0 Flying Eagles Gary Goodfellow 2133 14 0 teewrex John Tee 2104 With Pete and I both scoring 104, there's no change in the top two places. But Iqon's second place today powers him up 2 places to 3rd. However Simon drops two places to 5th. Yorik and Charles swap places to 7th and 8th, whilst John S and Carl also swap places, taking them to 9th and 10th. Channel 4's coverage still has half the race to go so I'll simply say that next up is Brazil in two weeks.

john stones 1 - Moderator
Oooh well done me. Bet you two at the top thought you'd blown it, should be a good tight finish again this year, may the best man win. Back on podium Igor, try not to fall off again. Dreadful race, all about the tyres, congrats Lewis 5 time champ.
